  1. To be witnessing this historic Brewers run and to now potentially have an elite splitter coming into the high leverage relief arsenal is essentially my version of MLB Valhalla. I have wanted a splitter of Shelby Miller's caliber in the Brewers Pen for yearrrrrrs. For many many long years. This is my shining moment. 😅
  2. I was alone. On an island. When I returned, I was grasping...reaching in the darkness. Then I pressed play and soldiered on. 😜
  3. Yes. He's electric out there. Interestingly, Jose Anderson has actually flashed some real plus prowess out there the past couple of weeks I was unsure he had. But, yes, Lara is the best pure CF by a healthy margin.
  4. The level of difficulty on this grab is an 11. Unreal play. Unreal especially because of the context and circumstances:
  5. Nicasia ends the game on an absolute web gem in right field to save Seppings from a potential blown opportunity. Sensational catch. Absolutely sensational. High risk. High reward play. When you are in the T-Rats position, you have to have him go for it and go for it he did. Seppings dealt with two men aboard in both frames. He will have to give a great heap of thanks to Kaylan.
  6. I see Rodriguez's post-IL return downward spiral continues. Only made it 3 1/3 IP tonight and was booted after another blow up inning. 3 1/3 IP of 6 H and 3 BB is just not going to get it done. The struggle has been very real.
  7. Man, Made really is a fantastic SS. His defense today - from where it was in April - is night and day. His movement skills are absolutely elite. His hands are getting more and more natural as he gets more and more comfortable. He has the arm. He's truly an elite talent at the position. Hard to be more impressed with the growth we've seen there over the past four months. He has struck out three times tonight - swinging once and looking twice - getting the bat confident and swinging at pitches in the zone consistently has been a struggle of late. Regardless, you can see all the tools at his age. Today, Peña is the better pure hitter but it's hard to sleep on the innate athletic prowess Made very clearly possesses in his body.
  8. Lara web gem saves a two-run double with two down and runners on 1st and 2nd in the bottom of the 8th. Incredible diving catch in the left CF gap. Covered a lot of ground.
  9. Manfredi gets another K to end his work. Brutal inning but it could have been worse. He'll likely be pulled at 30 pitches.
  10. Follows with a three pitch swinging K. Because, well, of course! Good recovery, Mark. He is at 27 pitches with two down. Men on 1st and 2nd.
  11. AND, the Shuckers trail. Golf shot single on a low inside slider into LF. It's 5-4 Smokies. Manfredi with a quagmire inning. BB, HB, Throwing error, RBI single. Brutal. He's about to walk the next batter as well. Yep. He walked him. Four pitches. BRUTAL.
  12. AND, Manfredi's nightmare continues. He throws what essentially was a no look pick-off (?) to 1B. He airmails it. Runner scores. Tie game. Runner at 1B heads to 3B. What is it with Brewers Minor League pitchers and their consistent inability to throw accurate pick-off throws? It is a real issue. That was ugly.
  13. Fly out to RF, Runner tags 3B. Vargas dropped the ball and the runner had slid past the bag. Dang. Runners on the corners. One down.
  14. Ugly start to Manfredi's relief outing. Walks first batter on 5 pitches (tho, let's be honest, he was absolutely squeezed on pitch one). He then hits the next batter up and in. Clips him. Immediately two aboard. Nobody out. 4-3 Shuckers lead. Bottom 7.
  15. That's an extremely impressive long ball for Boeve. You love to see it. It's really not easy to go yard in Knoxville's air. You hear about it all the time in the Southern League.
  16. BOEVE!!!! WALL SCRAPER TO RF. HIS 5TH OF 2025. YEAH BABY!!!! Shuckers grab the late 7th inning 4-3 lead.
  17. Peek has come aboard and not only stranded Wichrowski's two runners. BUT, he's gone 2 1/3 IP of scoreless work. He's really found a groove in Biloxi and I am here for it. He's a competitive guy. He wants it. And, he has some goods to get it.
  18. Let's talk the Real News Late in your whine fest boys: I have seen RHP Shelby Miller's first inning as a Brewer. It was absolutely as I advertised to you. Utter. FILTH. Whew dang. Just wrap him up in bubble wrap. If he recovers? Get him to Milwaukee. It was absolutely beautiful.
  19. I have seen RHP Shelby Miller's first inning as a Brewer. It was absolutely as I advertised to you. Utter. FILTH. Whew dang.
  20. Back to back K's for Nova after the lead-off single to RF and BB. I'm telling you (for the 3rd or 4th time? LOL) he absolutely has stuff. It's a matter of fine-tuning his control. Too much Yerlin - ie spaz - in his arsenal but lotta goods. Heavy action on his mid-90's heater. Has a couple breakers with really nice late movement. He goes another scoreless frame tonight.
  21. Nova has been pitching much better of late. Throws to the bases are absolutely still adventures. Bitonti likely should catch the ball but Nova has no touch and lasers throws over there. This one was high and outside. Bitonti obviously wasn't expecting the ball there. Bitonti charged with the error regardless.
  22. Made. 10 pitch triple to the RF corner. Beautiful AB. Lovely to see! That's an RBI in there to boot. Make that 1-for-15 with RISP. Rodriguez grounds out into the 8th inning ending double play with runners on the corners.
  23. Three walks for Burke tonight. The man continues to get on base.
  24. Peek strands Wichrowski's two runners on mess with a full count swinging K on a gorgeous breaking ball that dipped below the zone. Gutsy pitch. On to the 5th. 3-3 game.
