  1. How awesome has it been to watch Mendoza and Bowman reclaim their status within the greater relief corps depth chart? It has been incredibly enjoyable. While the loss of Wilken's and Adams' bats is finally really starting to catch up to the Shuckers line-up (and, with the likely extended absence of Double-A C Matt Wood - that foul ball of his right upper arm looked not good), the recent string of losses has very little to do with their bullpen. Other than Merkel's anomalous 5-spot inning, the Shuckers bullpen has continued to pump out plus stuff. Mendoza's full-time shift to a multi-inning Pen guy has completely salvaged his arc with the Brewers. He has been fantastic for awhile now as you allude to. And, both Bowman and Yeager pitched scoreless innings last night as well. Good stuff.
  2. Oh hey! People are starting to really catch on in the greater prospect universe. Nice to see:
  3. I am absolutely thrilled to see a line up with Fischer and Dinges as a one-two punch. When Josh inevitably gets called up there we may be looking at our own brief version of the first half Whitecaps trio. At least we can dream on that possibility.
  4. C Marco Dinges is a Top 5 Brewers prospect. I will pound this gavel until the fans wake up to what we truly have here. No player in the system, not a single One, has touched the season Dinges has had on both sides of the diamond. Adamczewski is a close second with the bat. Wilken, Peña and Adams nip at his heels. Dinges is in a 2025 tier all by himself. The aura absolutely drips when he plays.
  5. It is rumored, though I can not confirm this, when each patter was plunked the ball pittered away atop the dirt. 🤭
  6. As to Meccage and his early exit, it's hard to say. There's nothing discernible that happens to him in the outing. He had, what, a 12 pitch first frame. He had a long second inning of 25 pitches? The bullpen was already up, however, by innings end. He gave up a two-rbi single on a curveball hanger dead center. A fantastic relay from Anderson led to a back pick by, I think Di Turi, at first base to end the inning. I think Stanley was already moving to the bullpen as they are protecting their very young arm later in the season. It's been very clearly hotter than heck with the lads dripping sweat on the bump all series. Meccage didn't show anything concerning other than a bit wild, as he is prone to doing, and moving a bit sluggishly dripping heaps of sweat.
  7. I wouldn't say so. It's an up and down ML season. The injuries are the biggest downer for all of us and especially the players. The Mudcats were absolutely electric that first month. They were the talk of Minor League baseball. The Shuckers won their first half Title in electric fashion. Even the T-Rats made a late first half charge. And, the Sounds have very very adequately served as the Brewers IL Taxi Squad - filling the gaps more than adequately when the Big Club needed reserves. The injuries have been devastating. We have missed a lot of innings from Blue Chip players.. I think it's important to remember the new delicate dance of a stateside 165 active players roster crunch. It is a significant difference and it really adds an entirely new overlay of challenge for all ball clubs.
  8. I mean our manager publicly admitted to essentially dumpster diving pizza slices out of Hotel boxes - other peoples' pizza - to take them to the ballpark, roll em up like a sammy, and eat said cold slices during the game. He does not care what you or I think. He is utterly 100% confident in his own skin. He knows who he is. He lives and dies for his team. I know I have gone mildly apoplectic (and I can not promise I won't go that route again) with his bullpen management. But, how can we not embrace Him as the leader of our Pirate Ship of overachievers?!? A treasure.
  9. Put this interview in a museum. Sports fans for generations shall look on in absolute wonder. What a Legend. He is a treasure.
  10. Tobias! Yikes. Not what we're after given his recent run of really nice work. Let's just hope this is a fart in the wind. Another brutal night for the full season clubs. Not a good week overall.
  11. That's a two HR week for Josh. LOVE it. Get him to High-A already Brewers. This has been your BF public service rant.
  12. 2-for-15 with RISP didn't prevent the DSL Brewers Gold from pulling out a 5-3 victory. OF Kenny Fenelon went yard for his third Johnson in a 1-for-5, 1 R, 2 RBI performance. Lead-off 2B, Juan Martinez, dazzled again with a 3-for-4, 1 R, 1 BB, 1 SB day pushing his season BA to 0.324 with a 0.991 OPS in 169 PA's. He is improving in every category since last season - across the board, really - and will likely be in the Complex by next summer (if not sooner).
  13. Carlos Done went yard again today. 5 long balls on his season now. Nice to see the mini power surge over the past month. DSL Brewers Blue earned 12 BB in a 14-3 victory. 17-year-old Nicaraguan Diustin Mayorquin continues to make a stateside case with his 4.0 IP of 0 H, 0 BB, 4 K work picking up the Save in the process. Mayorquin truly has been impressive for a 17-year-old first year hurler. That was his first SVO and he already possesses a 2-1 record in 4 GS and 41 2/3 IP total. 42 K and a 1.10 WHIP with a 2.59 ERA? Just solid solid work.
  14. BUMP: Fowler was officially assigned to the ACL Brewers yesterday. Hopefully the familiarization process is smooth and he is placed in a full-season pitching staff before season's end.
  15. Best news of the Trade Deadline for this Fan! Thanks for the update. Here's hoping the arm holds true this time around. Woodward is straight nasty on the bump.
  16. Hey, he's been good. For his age, he absolutely belongs. He's still stealing some bases as well at a favorable rate. He's making the occasional web gem. I am merely speaking to my own perceptions of how I viewed the players trajectory. It's going to take longer than I anticipated - this season was more a challenge for the player than I anticipated in other words. This is a player who I legitimately felt - heading into the season - had a realistic and likely opportunity to be a September call up. He was certainly being called up to Nashville at this time. Did I envision one of my absolute favorites in INF Ethan Murray outplaying him? Absolutely not. Hence, my Chourio remarks initially - he truly spoiled us all. At face value, with age as a distinct factor and League, he is having a solid season. However, with a player of his ilk and reputation, I was expecting more. I personally think that's a very fair remark. And, to be clear, it in now way means I don't absolutely love the player.
  17. Fair question. If it's the same LHP Bryan Hudson we've seen over the past year - the same One with a well- earned 6.00+ ERA in Nashville - with consistently lower velo and the same walk habits? One would gather it won't sting much. I can count on one hand the number of relief outings where I thought dominant Hudson was back. It's a sad downtrend from a player who was legitimately lights out in early 2024. But it is a prolonged downtrend.
  18. Great summation, Jack. My only concern, and maybe you can clarify this with your clubhouse access, is this solely a cash exchange whereby the Brewers take on $2 Million in Montgomery's salary owes or is there actually a serious PTBNL stipulation embedded in the contract language? I personally realllllly don't want a random late season Handelfry Encarnacion like player headed to Arizona. Not after we all randomly experienced the loss of one RHP John Holobetz late in the Priester trade. It would be helpful to know the actual likelihood.
  19. What are you even talking about or are you simply operating via emotions? He has been throwing bullpens for over two weeks. He is on the precipice of an extended bout of rehab work. He is trending toward playing within the next three weeks.
  20. I come again in service to remind 'The Peoples' just how filthy RHP Shelby Miller has been when healthy in 2025. He is about to head out on a Rehab Assignment:
  21. I promise you, no matter how you feel about the Trade Deadline, we're all going to be OK. Let's rally around this team and root them on in our collective quest for that coveted elusive World Series trophy!

  22. What's doubly cool about that moment is (not seen in the clip but if you stayed in the Live feed you saw glimpses of it) just after the walk off as things settled down some, Burke was seen chatting it up with ol' Shuckers manager and now roving Infield instructor throughout the org Mike Guerrero for a spell. They were clearly talking shop. Got the feels. The beat goes on.
