  1. - RHP Austin Roberts has been traded to the Milwaukee Brewers from the Miami Marlins for cash considerations. He has been assigned to the Biloxi Shuckers.
  2. With the Shuckers 8-4 loss at Pensacola, that concludes what might qualify as the ugliest week on the Farm all season. With the Big Club humming. this is the price we must pay it appears.
  3. Because, of course. It's 2025 after all. My goodness. Naturally, MiLB.TV is doing that random thing (has done it to me multiple times this season) where I can't go back and look while the game is playing.
  4. Nice to see C Matt Wood back in the line up! Also: Pratt was pulled for a pinch runner in the first inning after a walk? Going to go take a look now Also, RHP KC Hunt's absolute inconsistent roller coaster season continues. Back-and-forth we go. 3 HR allowed today. Wooof. Shuckers trail 5-3 after getting two back in the fourth.
  5. Blake Burke's first RBI in Double-A is an oppo single to LF. Well hit ball.
  6. Mini mildly annoyed rant: I'm obviously very happy for Made and Peña. Wisconsin needs talent. But, man alive, I have been peripherally annoyed by the Brewers kind of second-classing Adamczewski since ST. Raked in his call up last season. Raked in ST. Didn't get placement in the ST Future Stars game. Absolutely mashes since his return from the IL - outpacing his early mash - doesn't get the first call up and doesn't get the public mention. I know he is slightly pigeon-holed by being a 2B only. BUT, man alive, we are talking about possibly the best pure hitter in the entire system. It's time the Brewers take the training wheels off here. It's time they start treating him like the Star he is. I watch wayyyyyyyy too much Brewers Minor League baseball to not speak strongly on this stuff when I see it and when it happens. I'm going to say my piece here. Get him to Appleton and give him his moment.
  7. The only reason Made and Peña would be announced before Adamczewski is health and games under their belt and positional versatility - ie tenure this season. Adamczewski 'should' be the first player promoted based on actual performance. One could argue (politely, mind you) that this over-placing Made given his slump over the past two months - hasn't hit a long ball since late May. Repeated outs on the basepaths due to over-aggressive focus errors. Defense has been solid. Either way, let's hope all three hit the ground running and they rightfully get Josh up there very soon. He has no business continuing to crush Low-A pitching - it's time they take the training wheels off now that he has a better understanding of his back woes. And, obviously, the addendum here would be: unfortunately, nobody besides Garcia is holding any of our Low-A studs back from heading to High-A. That much is clear. Let's just hope Wisconsin can get a nice boon from the talent influx.
  8. I tell ya, this game makes me feel like pulling a pancake from out of my pants. Just has that comfort Carb kind of feel to it.
  9. That's lucky. Let's keep the National narrative on point. Thank you for your consideration.
  10. Given ESPN had the best record in the League Brewsers scuffling to a 5-1 road trip record at LA and seattle and a #7 Power ranking - two behind the Dodgers and 6 behind the juggernaut first place Cubs - this past Monday, I have to think they knock them out of their Top 10 entirely this week after this pathetic road performance. I hear the Reds are piping Red Hot. They likely bump the Brewers to, what, 12th? Feels more than fair.
  11. Please allow me time to grieve. The writing may have been on the wall, I simply did not care to read/
  12. Ahhhhh blessed be we are in a full on RHP Joel Payamps experience. Already allowed one run. Has one out. Bases are now juiced after a full count walk. I can feel the nostalgia.
  13. This is correct. We covered it at that time - tho, we didn't exactly get full clarity. I'm just grateful it wasn't longer than this - at the time it felt like it may have been quite severe.
  14. HUGE. The Sounds of Freedom ring throughout Scranton/Wilkes-Barre! I spoke to this earlier in the week, but worth mentioning again here: Zamora may hit for essentially zero power but he is unafraid of the Big moments. A major progression for him since being assigned to Nashville is the clutch single. That has to be at least 3-4 run producing clutch hits this season.
  15. Made's last long ball was May 29th. He hit 0.229 in July. He is 0-for-3 so far today. This has been a tough stretch for the young man who has clearly not hit like those first two months for quite some time.
  16. Good news for the Brewers bullpen: Zastryzny has passed the IL benchmarks and is headed to Nashville to begin his rehab stint. Big news for the overall depth.
  17. Very good news for the Brewers bullpen depth:: - LHP Rob Zastryzny has been sent on his rehab assignment to the Nashville Sounds by the Milwaukee Brewers It would appear he has passed all the injury benchmarks to get back out that door. If you recall, Zastryzny was scheduled to head to Nashville in July but had to be held back after some concerning relapses.
  18. Well, I give tid bits when they are in the Complex and DSL - ie 'we may want to watch for this...'. I did it with Adams. I did it with Adamczewski. I also did it with Tyler Rodriguez 😅. SO, until I see them play...I don't let the Hype Train leave the station. You could tell within one or two games Dinges' bat and bat speed were different than anyone on that 2024 roster. The defensive progress this season has been astounding. You could also tell the same with Admaczewski. Despite his early exit with freak injury last season that bat and swing was legitimately apparent in his first Carolina AB. It is different. That Fischer clip? He obviously has elite short swing bat speed. That type of approach is going to get to a lot of pitches. We still need to see him play. However, we've also had an entire season of college baseball. Given he'll go to High-A, our expectations 'should' be higher.
  19. Well that's interesting. Don't know what to think of that. I guess we'll have to wait until the post-game interviews to get any type of read here.
  20. Man, hamstrings. They are so tricky. Any time something like what has happened to Frelick and Chourio pops up in season you never know if they will truly heal until the next season. We've seen it time and time again with professional athletes. It just is what it is at this point. Let's hope they recover. Let's hope it's precautionary and he just felt a little tickle. Either way, we all know this is not good. Not good at all. IF he indeed misses time, I'm personally in favor of giving OF Jared Oliva a try as the next 'lightning in a bottle' AAAA guy. He is an incredible defender. Fantastic speed everywhere and on the base paths. Sneaky pop. He's 10x the realistic OF candidate on MLB grass that Tyler Black is. Just my personal opinion. They've already DFA'd Cameron and Avans. Oliva is very worthy of a shot. Obviously, they'd have to open a 40-Man spot to do it so they may just stick in house. Not a fan of relying on Black on the OF grass or anywhere, really. 😅 Now, this being said, his brief stint with some actual productive MLB AB's was encouraging. His play since being sent down? Not really.
