  1. Thanks for taking one for the team. The Brewers don't seem to do so well against TBD, but I think this is the game the offense turns a corner. Whether it's down another dark alley I can't say.
  2. I would prefer they don't hire any hitting coach then when they play like this it's obvious that the players just suck.
  3. Mr. Optimist. How do you think this offense scores 1 run?
  4. Counsel must have 7pm reservations at Thames Street Oyster House so he put in Cain to move things along.
  5. No, but they are in talks to purchase that domain.
  6. you had me at "I will love the Brewer forever & always".
  7. I think the experiment in having lots of league average players isn't working. Sure over a season you can rack up enough wins, but when you hit the playoffs you are facing the best of the best and then you're exposed. Just like the A's teams with the super high OBP. Sure they would score a lot of runs, but at some point you face pitching and defense that requires you to get some hits, not just make out only 63% of the time.
  8. I love winning the moral victory of exit velocity. Woohoo!
  9. I usually pick up a copy of the tax code between innings for excitement. Nothing like reading thousands of words that mean absolutely nothing to make Brewers baseball seem interesting.
  10. I think that would be funnier if you added some likes: oh my gosh like this team is just so like terrible. Everybody sucks like why am i even watching. like the brewers are going to go like 1-161 this year like for sure. Nobody will get like any hits, the pitchers like will allow 10 runs a game. Horrible like horrible like horrible like team
  11. I wish there were more incentives in baseball. Like if the Brewers don't score then none of the hitters get a paycheck for that day. Then the team could afford a $200M payroll since they would be only paying $0.50 on the dollar.
  12. Was Hunter Renfroe brought in to make Yelich look like an MVP again?
  13. Didn't Mike Baumann write for the Journal back in the day?
  14. I think that second glass of wine is getting to me. Doesn't help that I've had about one glass over the last 30 days. Weeeeeeeee.........
  15. Yeah. I'm sure he'll kill it from May thru August, then go missing for September and the playoffs like every Brewer hitter on this team.
  16. I wish there was a metric to measure least entertaining MLB team because my eye test tells me the Brewers are the run away leader.
  17. Due80 brings up an interesting point about the 1st round and 5th year options. While it seems an excellent strategy regarding QB because they become extremely expensive if they are good (or Kirk Cousins), I wonder if some teams will see the current inflation of the #1 WR or perceived #1 WR market and are inclined to move into the late 1st round to draft that WR they might have waited on to fall into the early/mid 2nd? The real inefficiency in the NFL right now is WR with the large contracts/extensions being thrown around this offseason. There are always going to be teams like the Jaguars who will throw away money on a WR.
  18. Ugh. I thought they would rotate it, but looking at it those "rivalries" appear to be a shotgun wedding with no divorce possible. I'd be much happier if they just added a home/away for the "rivalries" (2 series) instead of 4 series per year. But I guess the single city rivalries are just so important that we have to pretend a rivalry exists between the Brewers and Twins (or Seattle and San Diego, or Detroit and the Pirates, or...). I'd much rather have Cleveland since we are the 2 teams with the longest WS win droughts in baseball.
  19. Well 8-10 interleague games every year doesn't leave many options. I am so happy with the new schedule reducing division games and rotating through all of the other league. I was getting pretty tired of seeing the Pirates and Reds so many times and having to host the Cubs fans at MP/AmFam so many series each year. Seeing less of the Cards and their holier-than-thou attitudes is just fine with me. FWIW I am fine seeing less of the Twins. Personally I never felt that was much of a rivalry (although Twins fans are several logs better than Cubs fans!) and I will gladly see less of them to see more of the rest of baseball.
  20. Yep, the Brewers offense we love. Beat up on crappy relievers.
  21. I keep checking the calendar and it says April 10, 2022, but I can't shake the feeling that it's September, 2021 again.
  22. Stroman is the kind of pitcher that playoff teams will be throwing at the Brewers every day.
