  1. 3 more outs. Get a few insurance runs and give Yelich another chance for the triple crown. Work is just not happening this afternoon.
  2. Ok Braun, time to remind the Cubs that there is a reason Cubs fans hate you.
  3. Soria threw 6 pitches. Soria and Knebel can go back to back games just fine if they don't go 2 innings. There would be a day off Wednesday, if they have to play tomorrow.
  4. I didn't say the Brewers are the favorites, and there's nothing that says multiple teams can't be equipped to win it at the same time, I'm saying this Brewers team is built to win in the postseason, and to win the World Series. I stand by that. Also as great as the records of the AL teams are, there were a number of really putrid teams in that league. The Brewers aren't a sure thing against the AL teams, but they have their fair shot.
  5. It never was a network, just a "super station". It's possible the rules prohibit them from sending the games to cable carriers. In case you were wondering the N in WGN does not stand for network, it stands for newspaper (Worlds Greatest Newspaper) as it was owned by the Chicago Tribune.
  6. That moment in that game changed the feel of the season from 'Another late season fade' to 'Team of Destiny'.
  7. 33 HR's and counting from a ground ball hitter: https://fivethirtyeight.com/features/christian-yelich-isnt-even-trying-to-hit-home-runs/
  8. A single Tuesday game thread in late September hit 45 pages!
  9. Key word here is should. I do think it was the deciding factor between Braun and Kemp in 2011. To take it to the extreme example, do you think the World Series MVP can come from the losing team? I think this question is a good test to explain why many people prefer the MVP to come from a playoff team. Well an ALDS MVP came from a losing team once...
