  1. Unless your Whirlpool was a really high end one that was very efficient, I'd suggest getting a new one. You will pay more than getting it fixed, but you will save water and electricity (or gas for drying as the good washers really spin out the water).
  2. Perhaps to get someone with good range and CF experience in to help cover for Braun while he is still learning LF.
  3. Any chance it will be picked up on ESPN 1070 in Madison. On rare occasions I've been able to catch snippets from 1250, but I'd much prefer something on a local station.
  4. Stomach flu makes a lot of sense, and theres a lot of it going around. My son spent a day last week where he would only take a little water and several days of not eating much. My daughter just had a day where even water would not stay down. A drop of 10 pounds and a few extra days to get back to full strength makes perfect sense if it hit him particularly bad. Influenza can linger and make you not eat, but it doesn't spread that well in warm climates, whereas at least one variety of stomach flu has been a bane of cruse ships for some time.
  5. My kids get $1. It's plenty for a 5 year old to get excited abut. As long as you don't let her think it might be more and she isn't reading inflation reports, she'll be happy with a dollar.
  6. From the Wiki: Sorensen is a drunk, so he can survive that level, but he needs serious help, and needs to be kept away from cars before he kills innocent people.
  7. That's a huge improvement in the broadcast right there. FSN is finally doing the right thing with the roving reporter.
  8. Brian works with Bill a whole lot better than Sutton did. If Brian improves, they could be a pretty solid team. For me, Brian was too much golf and too little baseball in his references. I also hope he gets a bit more exited as he gets more used to the team.
  9. You have to think of this from a cat's perspective. A jogger for all the world looks like a bouncy edible cat toy. How's a poor hungry kitty supposed to resist. In all seriousness, don't jog in wild areas where cougars or mountain lions roam. Of course a high school track is not what you would call a wilderness area, so I'm sure the cougar in question was destroyed.
  10. Anderson is ok. He makes a few too many mistakes for my liking, but I think (hope) he will improve as he gets more experiences as the announcer. I also hope he reduces the golf references next season. Sutton had more passion, but Anderson has a better voice. One thing that is really noticeable is that the Rock has been a lot better this year. He works well with Anderson.
  11. University of Illinois '90 - Chemistry UCSD '98 PhD Biology. So naturally I work as a computer programmer.
  12. I wish your mom well in her fight. I hope they detected it early, well before it started to spread. Make sure your mom goes through with what the doctors recommend, even if it is the chemo that she is afraid of. There are a lot of quack 'cures' out there (homeopathy, rife generators, etc) that promise cures without the side effects. They don't work, and the time lost following them instead of what real doctors prescribe is critical.
  13. That's ok Brian, just a quick glance at northsidebaseball is more than enough. I think an obnoxious sig day would make the IGT even more painful to read than WOAH SOLVDD in haiku day. (Please people that is really not a suggestion).
  14. I guess the severity is not too extreme, but usually they prescribe extra rest. Just make sure he doesn't kiss his teamates.
  15. Are the Brewers better off if the Cubs and Cards are buyers or sellers? I actually think that it would be better if they were buyers, even though throwing in the towel would let the Brewers coast to the playoffs. Here's why: 1) I don't think they will be able to catch the Brewers even if they do get a rent-a-player. 2) If they stay close, the Brewers will have to remain focus late in the season. If the other teams give up, the Brewers may sleepwalk into the playoffs, likely leading to a first round loss. 3) If the Cubs and Cards are buyers, they will weaken their farm system, which will only help the Brewers in the future.
  16. They've scored exactly 9 in an inning at least once before. ~1980 against Boston. In the second inning of an 18-1 romp Cooper and Money hit slams and Yount hit a solo shot for 9 runs.
  17. Odd thought, but could the Yankees be sellers this year, and if so, which overpriced aging vets would be up on the block?
  18. many PERA pthced a PERFETC gam las nite brng hem ip
  19. According to a post from Will Inman Fan, Will has mono which could more than explain his troubles. Hopefully he gets well soon and we can see what he can really do. Perhaps Woogie could swap the Inman tracker for a Parra tracker. He seems to have adjusted adequately to his promotion. And since I haven't said so before, many thanks to Woogie for the IGT graphics.
  20. Graffy thanks the Royals for trading him last year. Either that or he's doing his best Fielder imitation since he's on first today.
  21. Was that the game right before they were supposed to give Reggie Bars out to all the fans? I remember they had to cancel that giveaway.
  22. If Ned feels snubbed, he can just not pick Tony next year.http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  23. Thanks for listening to my suggestion Billy!.
  24. Zito makes Prince unhappy. Next time up, Prince will make us happy. Come on Hall, slam it.
  25. If he weren't changing positions, I'd agree, but he's moving to the OF. I think the switch will slow down the timetable a little.
