  1. Is he related to Michael Vick?
  2. I am in the camp of trying to build from a sudden area of success. An article on si.com says that the Yanks are still in need of pitching. Would they have anyone available in trade for one of our lesser starting pitchers? C Vargas anyone? Could a trade of Vargas + someone get Hughes +?
  3. Are you referring to Carlos V or Claudio V? Personally, I'd still like Yo G to start in AAA until June to see what we have in Claudio V...
  4. Yo G, Ryan B, Will I and Jeremy J. Not bad! My only complaint: It's too bad that Homer pitched too much in High School for the Brewers to take him....
  5. It's too bad Bailey used up his arm in High School...
  6. Wow, I'm not a big fan of losing Halls stick in the line-up but getting Santana, Figgins and the normal prospect throw-ins that Melvin usually squeezes would make for a productive day. Who would be the prospect targets from the BoSox or the Angels?
  7. If this scenario was to happen (not that I'm an advocate) why not promise the spot to Graffy? He seems like a better option...
  8. Remember that Gagne is a Type A free agent...
  9. Ah crap..that's right. I forgot about the nerve problem. Remove Wise enter...? What would it take? I have liked Sanchez since I saw him pitch for Erie...
  10. Now that the Yanks have another minor league starting arm (that they will probably never trust) what could the Crew offer to get him? Would they want someone like Wise? Their pen could use more...
  11. I know that Pierre is not an "OPS God" but the Brewers could do much worse (and they have in the recent past). If he would sign for 6-7million I would welcome him with open arms for 2-3 years. He gets on base at a decent clip, is always a doubles and triples threat, gets in the pitchers head, steals the bases that the pitcher worries about and plays a pretty darn good center field. I would take him over TGJ, Hart (he belongs in a corner spot) or Gross (like Hart, corner of'r). Just my $.02
  12. I could see "The Boss" making this happen just to screw the Mets http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  13. How funny it would be to go from a rotation w/ 3 lefties at times to a rotation w/ only 1. Even though the bully would be a little weak (what a waste of 2.3 mil on T-Blow) there has to be a way to make it better on the cheap. Let's find a couple more stitched up arms, throw them at the wall and hope they stick. Other than that...wow, I like that team.
  14. Is it just me or is Bill Hall one of the worst baserunners on the team. Maybe I'm only seeing the bad stuff but it seems like he makes a lot of non-productive outs on the paths...
  15. I still hate D-Bow!! At least one of our All-stars belongs http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  16. Nice to have you here crossface21! The last time that I watched a game and thought "wow, this will be a softball-type score" was the Cincy game that Dunn won with the homer in extra's. Hopefully this is not that type of game.
  17. Yes, I agree. However, when he gave up that lead-off hit he should have been pulled. No iffs, ands or buts. Any non-Dusty Baker manager should have realized that. Poor decision by Yost.
  18. Looks like Cappy got hit on the elbow. Nice work Yost...120 pitches and you let him stay out there. Moron.
  19. Actually, I'm guessing that his "noodle arm" probably does have something to do with it. The fact that every single, walk or hit batter has the chance to mosey nearly uncontested into second is almost unbearable to watch. That could potentially be enough to tack an extra run on to every game.
  20. Time to clear out the bench tomorrow. Lee is loafing this week, Jenkins couldn't hit his way out of a paper bag and Miller looks ragged. Hart in LF, Gross in RF and (gasp) moeller behind the dish...something needs to change.
  21. Everyone that is glad that DD didn't get a big extension like was being tossed around here in the past raise their hand. Mines flying... It would be great if he could find the plate once in a while...

    Game 1 recap

I'm also thinking about getting a Fox Valley BFan.net team together if there is enough interest. Lots of leagues up here...
  23. Bruce said it best. Why in the heck was Davis even out there for the 8th? To have a chance at lowering his ERA? That is the only reason I can think of. He was already over 105 pitches, was laboring on the 1st batter and just looked whipped. Chalk this one up to having a moron for a manager.
  24. I'm thinking more along the lines of 460 on that...what a shot!
  25. Is is Ben not being able to hold a guy on or are Moellers throws that bad?
