Are you kidding me. All we need is a lame pitcher on the injured list for another 4-5 months. Why don’t we just sign Teddy Higuera, he’s probably much cheaper.
Who? I’m sure Counsell stays up all night because he never won the award. Every year he goes to,Spring Training hoping this will be the year he wins the MOY award. It’s MLB intention just to give something for people to talk about during the off-season, nothing more.
He is honored by his paycheck and winning, not by a bunch of baseball writers who know little to nothing about a manager’s job and what takes to win baseball games.
Who cares if Counsell wins the MOY award, it is meaningless. I’m pretty sure he doesn’t really care either. This award is there for the fans interest to talk (complain) about and the BBWAA for their own ego and popularity. Let’s’ face it, there were no Manager of the Year before 1983.
That most likely not going to happen. I’m sure Craig will rest some of his regulars, minimize starters from pitching 100 pitches, rest relievers with more times between games, etc.
Love just can’t throw a deep pass. He has absolutely no accuracy on those types of passes. All he can throw are the check downs. He never even leads his receivers, every pass he throws the receiver has to slow down or stop their route to catch the pass.
I say if he can’t play, cut him, if they can’t trade him.Why waste a roster spot on someone that can’t (won’t) play, especially in a rebuild. MLF has zero control over his players, Alexander, Bak, Rodgers. The inmates run the asylum.
Loss didn’t affect the Brewer’s standing in the playoff hierarchy. In fact it may (may) play to their advantage by seeing the Marlins in the first round (and possibly eliminating the Cubs).
