  1. so can we pencil deeswan and mikerollins into the anti-ginter crowd? That's fine. I still think that Keith is a better option for everyday play over Helms.
  2. Will the Brewers win a game this series?
  3. Is Bill Hall in the Dog House?? Did he Piss Yost off?? WHy is he the new Enrique Cruz? Durrington the first guy off the bench? Hmmmmmmmm
  4. I like Keith Ginter, but he does strike out a lot.
  5. Will there be a Bill Hall sighting tonight? Or will Ned send him to play with Montreal, since if he were starting over there he'd be seen about as often as he is now.
  6. The way our hitters are shaping up, I really think Ned needs to rethink this lineup. Pods is set at number one, sure, but assuming a healthy Junior Spivey, I would think that the best lineup might be. Podsednik Spivey Overbay Jenkins Ginter Grieve Hall/Counsell Moeller/Bennett Otherwise, Overbay is going to get pitched around A LOT with Wes Helms hitting behind him. This also keeps the lefties broken up as best as possible. Overbay, who is such a good hitter, will get alot more to hit with Jenks and Ginter hitting behind him.
  7. In Response to the comment about not wanting to put Ginter in RF anymore. That has nothing to do with Grieve hitting .288 now and everything to do with Spivey being injured and Ginter starting everyday at 2b. When Spivey comes back, and we are sitting Hall and Ginter instead of Counsell and Helms I'll be screaming to have Ginter in RF, or anywhere for that matter just to get his bat in the line up. Let me also add that some of the same people who believe we have a gaping hole at 3b in the system should recognize that Ginter can play 3b next year and have Overbay, Weeks/Hall, Hardy/Hall and Ginter in the infield.
  8. Like endaround said, Hall at 2b, Ginter at 3b and Counsell at SS. I have liked Halls approach at the plate that last few games, taking the ball to rightfield a bit.
  9. I heard Yates is the Mets worst pitcher. I wonder where he would rank on our staff???
  10. Johnny Raburn is pitching? Did I hear that correctly? How long has this been going on?
  11. As underwhelming has he SEEMS, I think Grieve needs to be given a chance to get 3 ABs a game at least. While he doesn't look all that impressive at times he takes walks and comes up with some clutch hits. I think he is our best option for RF as of right now. I really like Neds idea of putting in Clark after the 7th as defense but I'd like to see Ben get a few more starts before we give up one him. I also don't mind Craig Counsell as much as some others, but until a trade is made...here is my everyday Podsednik Ginter 3b Spivey 2b Jenkins LF Overbay 1b Hall SS Grieve RF Moeller/Bennett. Ginter/Spivey/Hall could go anywhere but I like those 8 guys to get a bulk of the starts.
  12. Can't forget about Keith's buddy Lyle "I hit everyday" Overbay http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/laugh.gif
  13. Keith "Booooo Yaaaaa" Ginter....playing his way into the everyday lineup since 2003. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smokin.gif
  14. In a related story, it appears that Ned Yost has gone to the unprecedented move of dropping "Third baseman" to the 7 hole. We are not sure if this is an error, if Ned is locked in the Bathroom and someone else wrote out the lineup or what but we are definitely looking into this.
  15. what happened to Reality Check? He was all about Indy.
  16. So, like Matt Kinney, is this Obermueller's last stand as well?
  17. I can just hear Ueck starting off the top of the second inning. "Due up this inning are first baseman, third baseman, and rightfielder. And if any of them can get on we'll get a look at catcher and possibly pitcher this inning as well."
  18. Beloit wins with 9 runs on 6 hits?? yikes.
  19. Roco, what makes out pen bad is after the top 3-4 it falls off BIG time. I feel confident with Viz, Burba or Kolb on the mound, and even Kiesch has set my mind at ease after some 2-3 inning scoreless appearences. The problem is Ford and Hernandez, and to a lesser extent Bennet. About Bennet - until he is the worst of the guys out there I say you keep him. He has been in much much tougher positions that Ford was in last year, and has been decent. I'd send Hernandez and Kinney - and maybe Ben Ford packing before giving up on Bennet. If we can get two guys that are more effective then Jeff, then Jeff becomes the guy we put in for 2 innings in games we are up or down by 5 or more, which I am sure he would handle just fine.
  20. Our Pen was not that bad. Kiesch and Viz pitched out of some tough spots. Our offense stunk it up tonight.
  21. Would anyone here vote for a Kieschnick/Vizcaino ticket in '04? Man that was sweet. Not Viz haters in '04. Whatever ailed him in '03 it is obviously better now. (I'm not going to say "let's get some runs" because I think it might be bad luck)
  22. If a guy looks gassed, and his mechanics are going to hell at 90 pitches, you take him out because any more work while being tired and the mechanics can break down, and I think that leads to injury as much as being overworked. conversely, if you are at 110 pitches, and cruising and your motion is fluid you can probably go another 15-20 if need be. I think Ben started to show fatigue during the last batter he faced and it is my belief that if that Yost recognozed that, and if that Batter had made it on base Sheets was finished.
  23. Ahhh yes, and now the double by Moeller. I am a Yost supporter but he out coached himself on this one.
  24. Brady clark is now 1 for 4 trying to steal. The Bunt there just made too much sense I guess.
  25. I'll eat my words on this one and Give Brooks his props. Earlier in the year I called him out and said that if he was to stay on the team he was going to have to be as good as he was at the plate last year and better on the mound. Well, after a rough start early in April Brooks has been a stud at both the plate and the mound. Now let's not let his effort go to waste. Get some runs fellas!!
