  2. The didn't put the entire Ned quote in there. He said "I don't care about scoring changes, and anyone who does either doesn't know baseball very well or has no baseball knowledge to speak of."
  3. Edited to avoid those sensitive to Milwaukee crime.
  4. http://www.jsonline.com/watch/?watch=1&date=6/29/2008&id=42398 A party of six, four golfers and two caddies, had reached the 16th tee at Brynwood Country Club shortly after 11 a.m. Saturday when a lone gunman emerged from nearby woods and said, "Give me your money," police said. Armed with a handgun and covering his face with a mask, the gunman robbed two of the golfers and one of the caddies before fleeing into the woods at the club, located at 6200 W. Good Hope Road.
  5. I wish I could help, but none of my kids ever used one. I know they develop quite an attachment to them though.
  6. Im sure attendance will spike once they have to endure Minneapolis spring/fall at that place. You thought County Stadium was chilly in April/May/September? Come on, this is fan base that hasnt even sat outdoors for a football game in over 30 years. I predict once the roof comes off that attendance looks like this. 2.75 million 2.5o million 1.8 million 1.5 million
  7. The question I have been worried about is who replaces the one who replaces Fielder? Yeah, it could be 10 years away yet, but gotta be prepared.
  8. Email chef Jerry Garcia.
  9. I disagree about Gamel and Inman. Yeah, maybe they were drafted because of their Brewer status (or ex-Brewer status in Inman's case), but Inman was an early 3rd round pick who said he would sign if paid like a 2nd rounder. He signed and has performed every bit as well as you would expect a first rounder to. Meanwhile, Gamel has been tearing the cover off the ball in AA, not to mention how he finished last year and in the Hawaiian fall league. The "college juniors", while impressive have no professional track record, and while guys like Alvarez, Posey, Smoak, etc are all great prospects I dont think taking proven minor league stars, who were high picks in their own regard, over them is a huge mistake.
  10. Boston will follow Minnesota's example and take Justin Smoak, who was a 16th rounder in 2005. Firstbaseman.
  11. If all you can say about this guy, lets call him LMM for short, is that he is a good defender, then all I can say about him is that he is exactly what the Bucks needed.
  12. I would say Big, White, SLOW, Americans never pan out. That doesnt appear to be Alexander. Id look more at his game than his skin color.
  13. Put me down for wanting Brook Lopez here. He can play the 4.
  14. the thing about Laporta for Sabathia - or Gamel for that matter - is you would have to assume that a team renting Sabathia is also willing to give up as much. As I seem to remember, deadline deals of the past have been less than impressive when it comes to the haul received, which is why we have seen more offseason dealing. I am of the belief that Sabathia can be had for less than Gamel or Laporta. How much less? I dont know, but really all that Cleveland needs to get to get ahead is something better than 2 draft picks, most likely in the 20-40 range in next years draft.
  15. I always thought Richard Jefferson was a good player, was I mistaken? He is now the 2nd player on the Bucks I give a rip about. The other being Bogut.
  16. Pudster gets Inman. Minnesota on the clock.
  17. It was something about how the poster (scoop) found a flaw in Hart's swing/Stance. It had something to do with Hart's elbow either pointing out or down. Scoop said it was a simple fix but that Corey would never materialize as a prospect if he didnt change it.
  18. As a casual NBA Fan, if that, Carmelo Anthony strikes me as someone who isnt as good as his name. His name = Superstar, but I just dont see it. His game reminds me of Glenn Robinson. My take is that he is very good, but not elite. To be elite I think you have to have a top-notch presence on both ends of the court. I dont see that from Anthony.
  19. That's not true, it works wonderfully for house-training a puppy.
  20. What do you mean pay considerably? Gillespie and Tim Dillard? Jonathon Lucroy and Hernan Irribarren? I proposed a Hall/Villy/LaPorta trade for sabathia and Andy Marte earlier this season and that idea was roundly panned by pretty much everyone as way too much and an all around terrible idea. At this point, Villanueva and Hall have little value when it comes to being replaceable through our system.
