  1. Turnovers and the Badger bigs havent done much on defense. All in all I have been disappointed by this half of play.
  2. Cripes!!! Is the Big Ten really that bad that no other team could run against the Badgers? These midgets are going right down the lane for dunks and layups!
  3. On the other hand, Krabbenhoft has a beautiful shot. Steimsma took a 15 footer that it looked like he shot-put. Lead down to 4 again, and we turn it over...again.
  4. I was telling a friend (a marquette fan) that I thought Matthews was completely useless. He doesnt shoot well at all, he isnt a point guard, he passes so-so, he defends so-so, he doesnt slash exceptionally well. He is a pretty big disappointment in my opinion, but then again, I dont knw what was expected of him. Landry had lower expectations, but he exceeded them, IMO, his freshman year and I thought he would grow from there, but he really hasnt gotten any better.
  5. They need to get their heads our of their behinds. They are lucky to be up a point as they are on a 70 point pace. I get the same feeling I had watching them in the first round last year...and it isnt good.
  6. Nobody talking Badgers? Or am I the only loser watching from home?
  7. The lease, as I have heard in this thread, is until 2012. I would imagine as long as another team picks it up that Maryvale doesnt care who occupies it. The trend is clearly for teams leaving Florida and moving to AZ, I have also heard Las vegas as a potential ST location in the future. It is too bad Milwaukee is heading the other way.
  8. I tend to think that is not an issue. If it was, there would be no teams in so. florida.
  9. I just realized that in one fantasy baseball league I have stupidly ended up with Joey Votto and Jay Bruce. Forgetting that Dusty was the manager, or least not worrying about it. I now have to either release them or trade them as there is no way Dusty plays them ahead of Corey Patterson or Dave Ross.
  10. Bummer. Edit - Let me elaborate on my statement, above. When I find the time/money to go to spring training, I do so to watch the Brewers. In AZ I can fly into Phoenix, stay wherever I want, look at the schedule and follow the Brewers wherever they may go. If they are in Scottsdale, Tempe, Peoria, Maryvale or Mesa it doesn't matter because they are all a relatively short, convenient drive away. I am even game for a day trip to Tuscon if I have to make it (because I know the weather will be top notch). Exhibit A - map of cactus league teams Consequently, looking at the possible locations for the Brewers are Auburndale or Sarasota, which are probably fine locations for spring baseball, but looking at this map... The Brewers would be numbers 6 or somewhere near the 9/10 which means, unless they are playing at home, or a close neighbor, it is mighty incovenient to go to a game and there is no guarantee that any team would be playing at home near where you are staying. Like I said, this is a shame. (edit: clickification --1992)
  11. Simmons was right when he said never give big contracts to role players like Bobby Simmons, Bell and Mo Williams. Mo Williams was awarded for putting up good "fantasy" numbers on a really bad team last year. Gadzuric is another one. Blow up the team, keep Bogut and Yi and move along.
  12. I'd also be open to hiring Simmons. Let's get it done Herbie.
  13. I didnt realize he was in the deal with the D'Backs for Haren. Good for Dana if he can make the team, I still think he can be a serviceable major league starter. Eveland pitching his way onto A's staff
  14. I again I echo my statement on the first page. If they move to Florida, that would stink.
  15. Cool, Ive got one just up the road from where I live. I know they service lawn mowers and snowblowers, dont know why I didnt think of them before.
  16. By the by, where would a guy take a gas grill to get fixed? The knobs wont turn after a long winter, even though the grill was kept in the garage (btw, two winters ago it was kept OUTSIDE over the winter, so it could be from that, although it worked fine last summer.)
  17. After a quick run through my Final Four and Wisconsin, Tennessee, UCLA, Memphis
  18. "Women, you can't live with 'em, you cant kill 'em."
  19. It's funny you mention you have dial-up because I actually still get around town via horse and buggy.
  20. Oh, NC. I imagined you having a phone somewhere outside, maybe in the garage, and talking on it and freezing your butt off because you want a chance to talk to this other team.
  21. I havent forgotten he exists, I just thought he was existing in a nursing home about now.
  22. No he isnt. he is more like 5'5", and closer to 325-350 actually. Did I mention I forgot to put my original post in blue?? Also, NDog, what kind of dog is that in your avatar. Looks just like mine.
