  1. How can they possibly try to predict the Yankees 2010 starting lineup. Do they honestly think the Yanks are going to stop signing Free Agents?
  2. Where do Hardy and Hall go endaround? And why are we rumored to want to retain both Cirillo and Graffanino? Toss in Weeks, Hall, Hardy, and Koskie and I don't see how we have room to keep all of them, even wit Hall in the OF.
  3. At this point probably gallardo.
  4. I could see you arguing that Roberts is no good, but to simply say he would only help for a year or two doesnt make any sense. Why not argue that signing a free agent to a 3 or 4 year deal is stupid because when the contract is up, then what... By definition just about any short free agent signing is a band aid solution. Not sure what your point was about Roberts.
  5. This cannot be taken lightly. A huge development for the big club.
  6. Wow. Braun is a stud. I would not be surprised to see him in early June. Especially if Koskie, Weeks or Hardy get injured again. If he is as good as Ryan Zimmerman he'll be a great addition to the offense at some point next year. Between this news and the signing of the Cuban I can not WAIT for next season!!
  7. This is awesome news. If this guy is a serious threat to win a spot out of Spring Training I think it would just about seal the deal for Bill Hall going to the OF. He sounds like a pretty light hitter. I wonder if he is a Juan Pierre type that people have been clamoring for. I mean, it says he is Rickie Weeks with less power...and Weeks has been pretty much a singles hitter since the first month he was called up. Anyway, this is fantastic news and I look forward to following him in spring training.
  8. I remember reading a few years ago that the Brewers were just about last outside of recent expansion teams when it came to developing current major league players. Obviously with the emergence of guys like Weeks, Fielder, etc we have climbed the list, but how do we define "development?" Is it only drafted? Drafted and taken to the bigs? Can you trade for a AAA guy? AA? Out of these players, who have we developed? Zach Jackson Carlos Villanueva Jose Capellan Jorge De la Rosa Who developed Boof Bonsor and Francisco Liriano, SF or Minn?
  9. When he sucks after one month can we stop paying him the millions we will owe him?
  10. If this would mean to end to Lanyce Nyx in a Brewyers Unyform than I am all for it. y
  11. 15-20, unless he gets a really good lawyer, then maybe less than 10.
  12. Nobody hates Clark. He is a nice 4th or 5th outfielder. Only he is being paid like a 4th or 5th OF for the Yankees or Mets. Nobody is going to take him in a trade with that salary.
  13. Maybe a team that has a CF that is below average fielding, below average hitting and has one leg??
  14. We should see if we can get Gabe Kapler and Rusty Greer to. Former Ranger Corner Outfielders...Collect 'em all!
  15. Too many other big fish for Chicago to focus on (A-Rod, Soriano, Schmidt). My guess is that carlos will not sign with them because they will be focusing on other players first.
  16. Well, it appears from those splits that in the 2nd half Pierre does tend to warm up from Terrible to just below average. That's gotta be worth something! Oh wait, Pierre had a good World Series vs the Yankees, what am I talking about...
  17. Interesting... sportsillustrated.cnn.com...index.html blogs.chron.com/sportsjus...he_as.html Take it for what its worth.
  18. Sweet colby - when the forum change names to June 2007 draft?
  19. Why are the Royals all of the sudden dying to rid themselves of Teahan? I know Gordon is waiting but a team like the Royals needs to keep as much good cheap talent as possible. Seeing posts where we pick out a guy like Teahan just because he is good and young and playing for the Royals makes me feel very Yankee-like and I dont like that feeling much. Unless there are real rumors our there I am not aware of I dont see why the Royals would trade Teahan.
  20. There is no questions that Cano is better than Weeks. That deal still is an absolute joke though.
  21. The Yankees wouldnt want prospects. They'd ask for either Sheets or Capuano for starters.
  22. Bill Hall is my favorite Brewer, and I really dont like A-Rod much. That said, I'd do it and laugh all the way to the playoffs. However, there is no way A-Rod is traded for anything other than YOUNG PITCHING.
  23. Wooo Hoooo Go Tigs!!!
