    Guys, Rowdy is even worse against LHP than Wiemer is against RHP. Plus, far less likely to hit into a DP. Yelich and Canha being injured limits Counsell right now.

    Rockies' announcers praising the Brewers right now. "Best defense and top 3 starters in baseball". "Threats to the Dodgers and Braves." Also, basically handing the division to the Brewers if the Rockies hold on. Wouldn't quite go that far yet, but it's getting closer.

    If any prospect is getting called up, it's going to be Tyler Black. I could see them doing that if Canha has to go to the IL.

    Nice to see CC has given up on Turang against LHP for now. He's young and developing, but you can't have an automatic out (which Turang is against LHP) in the order.

    I'd agree with that. Contreras is due to DH with Burnes not pitching until Sunday. And Caratini, while not great, is a significantly better option than Turang against LHP.

    Brewers' playoff odds now at 99.8% per fangraphs...90.2% for the NL Central Brewers with the 24th most difficult remaining schedule (.477 W%). Cubs with the 15th most difficult (.503 W%).

    Think it's one more day before we see Yelich. Without Canha, Monasterio could make his debut in the leadoff spot. Monasterio 3B (.888 OPS vs. LHP) Contreras C (1.086) Santana 1B (.793) Adames SS (.768) Donaldson DH (.883) Frelick RF (.733) Wiemer CF (.843) Taylor LF (.745, career) Turang 2B (.456, yuck) Obviously, Canha would make this lineup even better and would eliminate the need for Turang, but still very nice to throw out against a LHP.

    I'm assuming Misiorowski will be back in time for the AFL as it was described as a "pause". They'd be well served to get him some more innings now that he's in the high minors.

    Between the start of football, the cooler weather, and the leaves beginning to change colors, fall is setting in. As the full-season affiliates begin to wind down, it's about time to discuss who the Brewers will be sending to the AFL this year. Last year, the Brewers' AFL contingent included the likes of Abner Uribe, Tyler Black, and Jeferson Quero. Who do we think will go this year as representatives of the #2 farm system in baseball? My prediction (feel free to correct me if there are injury updates that would preclude any of these players): Position Players: Jackson Chourio, Eric Brown Jr, Jace Avina Pitchers: Jacob Misiorowski, Bradley Blalock, Stiven Cruz, Adam Seminaris Maybe add in another position player and/or reliever.

    Any update on Jacob Misiorowski? Unless the Shuckers make the postseason, seems unlikely he'll be pitching again this season. Perhaps he'll get some run in the AFL to stretch his innings pitched out a little more.

    Except I’ve watched PCA plenty in the minors. I’ve never seen a better defensive outfielder than him at that young an age. Has earned every bit the 80 grade, which is rare enough in itself. I also didn’t say it’s going to happen, I said I “could easily see it happening”. His bat? Now that’s a different story.
