  1. Good god, Rowdy. Take the bat off your shoulders.
  2. Tomorrow they will make a decision, per CC. He was out on the field today.
  3. https://x.com/Brewers/status/1703876609634074744?s=20 Looks like Vieira is the sacrificial lamb for Rea....
  4. Yeah, with inflation, we're talking around $1.2 billion for a new ballpark nowadays. So, a reasonable cost to keep the team in MKE for the foreseeable future. Not like Am Fam is a dump anyways.
  5. AAA at 19. Jackson Holiday and now Chourio. Non-coincidentally, the consensus top two prospects in baseball.
  6. I remember when the trade was lambasted by many people on this board. It turns out Renfroe is the definition of replaceable and we were able to get Peguero in return, who has been huge in solidifying the bullpen.
  7. Tampa Bay/St Petersburg market still trumps Milwaukee in market size. Game attendance a relatively small part of the calculus compared to that. Why MLB wasn't going to let the Rays leave despite this saga having gone on for almost two decades now and their sparse attendance. If the funding isn't there in Milwaukee, there almost certainly would be in those other cities with larger markets, which is where the real risk comes from.
  8. Frelick CF Contreras C Santana 1B Canha LF Adames SS Tellez DH Donaldson 3B Monasterio 2B Taylor RF Do it CC and kick the everliving crap out of this team and this pitcher.
  9. Not even a few weeks ago. Just a little over a week ago, we had a certain someone telling us to pay more attention to the wild card race.
  10. Where were they the rest of the week when we were doing nothing but winning?
  11. William Contreras has been the best catcher in baseball this year. That's not a "star"?
  12. We don't know who's available and unavailable.
  13. Contreras sacrifice against a LHP? Interesting...
  14. Good job by Woody. Now score please!
  15. Woah. Who's talking down now?? Ridiculous and childish. And you can change your mind from the heat of the moment. I did after CC explained post-game Milner's recent usage and the fact that Chafin had been pitching better coming into that game. That's the last I'll say about it.
  16. I'm not talking down to you. And it's funny you say that when you started by responding, "Refresh my memory..." Could certainly be construed as talking down... He came into the game anyways because the Brewers couldn't score and they had no alternative but to use their emergency option. Chafin was ahead of Milner in the pecking order for that day, with Milner only to be used as a last case scenario (meaning no other relievers left) due to his usage. It was a reasonable decision given the bigger picture that simply didn't work out.
  17. He's in the bullpen. You can't not use him if you're down to your last reliever, which they literally were. As for Milner, there's a bigger picture here. They need to keep him healthy and effective for the postseason. More than one game. CC realizes this, and it's why we're 6.5 games up.
  18. Counsell said that Milner was only an emergency/last ditch option due to his usage.. Chafin was ahead of him that day. Hope that helps.
