Thing is, he wasn't exactly tearing it up in AAA during his rehab stint, either. He's simply got to hit at a certain level due to the dearth of value he provides elsewhere on the field. He hasn't hit at that level since May. Yes, he was injured and he just returned off the IL, but the Brewers can't and aren't going to wait forever.
That sub .500 OPS spans two months of play, not two games.
