  1. I think I'd give him the weekend off hold him until the Cubs' series...No need to risk it given how we're actually scoring runs right now.
  2. Not really. Almost all of those AAA #s came with the Mets, a bad team who declined to call him up in spite of his stats. Now, Voit is a free agent and hasn't even managed to latch on with another team. A lot like Hiura after the Brewers removed him from the 40 man after ST and nobody opted to place a claim on him... Some players are AAAA players. I won't ever close the door on Hiura because he has the bat speed and the talent, but he's got major, major contact issues and I trust the Brewers' evaluation.
  3. Jax looks legit, though. 97/98 with 3000+ rpms on the breaking ball.
  4. He's so much better suited for this type of role than the strict 7th inning role CC had him penciled into. Still getting key outs, too.
  5. Frelick is unavailable presumably, but he still could've put Anderson in the OF in place of Wiemer once Rowdy batted.
  6. "They're definitely comparable". This was you. They're not comparable despite their similar slash lines.
  7. For me, it was just having Wiemer at the plate there. If you pinch hit Tellez, not only do you have someone who's more likely to make contact, but if he rolls over on it like Wiemer did, it would go to the right side to allow the baserunner to advance. Ended up not mattering, but that was a mistake imo.
  8. Brewers are hot. Both literally and figuratively.
  9. Brice says, "who cares about Wiemer hitting? I'll just end the game myself!".
  10. If we lose this game, we should look to CC deciding to hit Wiemer there.
  11. Wiemer can go to AAA when Frelick is healthy.
  12. I don't like this at all. Go for the win. With Wiemer, you're effectively sacrificing an out and a chance to move the baserunner.
  13. Yeah. Wiemer CANNOT hit here, CC.
  14. To be fair, ball was flying out of the ballpark today. Any other day and the Farmer and Taylor HRs would have been routine flyballs.
  15. This feels like a Willy redemption game. Come on.
  16. Totally different run scoring environments. That's what wRC+ accounts for. Alonso has been a lot better than Carter. Not comparable
  17. This thing is so unreadable that I'm not even going to bother addressing it all. I will say Luke Voit has a better slashline at AAA this year than Hiura. That's factual and indisputable. AAA numbers mean next to nothing.
  18. And he doesn't call that a strike....
  19. Tigers just tied it up on a Kerry Carpenter grand slam.
