DFA'd by the Blue Jays a few weeks after they traded for him. Despite how rough Adames has been lately, I don't see it happening for two reasons. One, DeJong just hasn't been that good since 2019 and has been horrific since being traded to the Jays despite a nice start to the season. Two, he's pretty much exclusively played SS since 2018, and Adames is far better defensively than DeJong at SS.
In the end, it only makes sense if the Brewers believe DeJong is a better option than Brian Anderson going forward and he can backup at 3B and 2B. I really don't think so, but it's at least debatable given how abysmal Anderson has looked at the plate.
