  1. Woody and Ashby come back soon, please. Even if we lose, we'll probably only be 0.5 game out of a Wild Card spot and 2 games out of the division lead. As pleasant of a surprise Alexander has been thus far, you're not going to win games with him or Chi Chi in your rotation. Also, hardest part of the schedule is behind us.
  2. Not even a bad pitch and then you have crap errors. Ughh. Hate Goldschmidt so much.
  3. Counsell should've never let Lauer pitch to Goldschmidt and Arenado....
  4. And that at-bat is the entirety of Yelich's issues over the past two years. 101 MPH but on the ground....ELEVATE THE DANG BALL
  5. Yelich, please please please please. I'll just take a slap hit right now.
  6. Not quite that long, but yeah me, too. Hopefully better days lie ahead and we don't suffer any more injuries to our rotation.
  7. Ughh why did Counsell have Lauer pitch to Goldschmidt and Arenado....
  8. My main issue with Counsell this year is his usage of Hader. He's the most underutilized elite reliever in baseball. Compare that to how the Cardinals are using Helsley, Gallegos, and Cabrera....
  9. I like you, man., but this is just not true. The season series is currently tied and we're losing by one run...
  10. Of course they all count the same. But the difference is that there's still several more months of baseball that these guys have to get through. Plus, Urias and Hiura have both hit Wainwright well whereas Adames hasn't so I'm sure he figured today would be as good a day as any.
  11. Aside from two appearances against the Cubs and the Phillies, in which he gave up four runs each, he's actually been pretty solid. He now hasn't allowed a run in his last four appearances....
  12. Because it's still June? And Adames just returned from the IL....
  13. We need to get healthy bottom line. 2 of the top pitchers in baseball being out really hurts us, combined with the recent swoons from Lauer and Houser. We saw the formula for winning on Monday. We have two other pitchers who are capable of performances like that. Unfortunately, they're both hurt, though one will likely be back next week. Cards aren't a perfect team either....
  14. I, for one, am ready to welcome Woody back into this rotation.
  15. I'm sure they'd still end up above in the low to mid 80s for wins, but they wouldn't be a serious NL contender...
  16. If age finally catches up with Wainwright and Flaherty doesn't regain his stuff/control, the Cards are in some trouble...
  17. Really? He's at 91-95 right now, which is what he's been at the whole year...
  18. If MLB is going to expand/realign in the near future (and all indications are that they will), they can start by putting us in different divisions.
