  1. Now, time to go and watch Woody/Brosseau/Gott tonight.
  2. Also, the Brewers/Cardinals have now pulled ahead of the Giants for the last wild card spot in the NL.
  3. As big of a win as you'll get in mid-June. People will have fun looking at all of the comments from the beginning of the game.
  4. I might consider bunting here, but CC obviously won't do it.
  5. One guy who's surprised me lately is Kelley. Was nasty last night and hasn't been scored upon in his last 5 appearances or so. Maybe he doesn't suck?
  6. Williams starting to build a case for an all star spot....
  7. I was referring to the ankle. He was gimpy coming out of the box, which is how that weak grounder turned into a DP.
  8. People were asking why Adames was sitting yesterday....
  9. Machado or Goldschmidt for NL MVP? It's very close. Maybe slight edge to Machado right now?
  10. I hope not. But I'm thinking Counsell will probably try to get another inning out of him, unfortunately.
  11. Adames now leads the majors in home runs by a SS....
  12. Good job, Alexander. But that's it for you. I'd be tempted to pitch Williams or Boxberger in the next inning. I'm sure it will be Sanchez, though.
  13. Alexander cannot be allowed to face Goldschmidt and Arenado again. They have hit the ball hard against him every time they've been up.
  14. Good job by Alexander getting through that part of the Cards lineup. But he cannot be allowed to face them again, regardless of his pitch count. Hopefully Counsell realizes that. He sure as heck didn't last night with Lauer, and it literally cost us the game.
  15. Woodruff is likely coming back next week followed shortly by Ashby. That'll help ALOT.
  16. Never said it did. And we only play the AL East teams once, you realize (except for Tampa)....We play teams like Cincy, Pittsburgh, and Chicago significantly more than that. Yes, we still have to play LA, but then we also get teams like Colorado and Arizona.
  17. Brewers have better pitching than the Cardinals (when healthy). Our problem is Woodruff and Peralta both being out. That's equivalent to Arenado and Edman being out for the Cards on the hitting side of things.
  18. Yes it is, when you consider the whole three 10 game road trip thing and how many more road games we've played than home games. Padres, Phillies, Braves, all done, too. After Wednesday, things lighten up significantly...
