  1. Thanks for stalking me. I'm humbled it matters so much to you. And I do recognize it, I just don't find it to be funny.
  2. Cubs just tied the game against Gallegos. And Cutch has been so much better recently.
  3. Or maybe you're just being overly sensitive when I pointed out it was far from a certainty or near certainty due to Berrios also stinking lately.
  4. Love TT. Watching him swing the bat as opposed to Cain is so refreshing.
  5. Tomorrow's not a certain loss by any stretch. Gonzalez at least kept us in the game on Tuesday, as opposed to Houser last night. Plus, Berrios has been very bad this year and is coming off an outing in which he gave up 6 runs.
  6. Right-handed heavy lineup today, with the exception of Yelich. This is as it should be, given Kikuchi's huge struggles against righties over the course of his career.
  7. Christian Yelich since being moved to the leadoff spot: .313/.397/.438; 135 wRC+...Also, has now equaled his WAR total from all of last season....
  8. For those of you complaining about the lack of .250+ hitters in our lineup, you do realize that the Phillies, who I'm sure most of you would recognize as having a "good" offense, have the same number of players hitting above that threshold as we do. Granted, one of those guys is Bryce Harper, who is hitting .320, but the point largely stands. It is extremely hard to maintain that kind of a batting average in today's game given all of the advantages that pitchers possess. Whether that trend is good for the game as a whole is a different matter, but it's nevertheless the reality we're currently living in. Stats like OPS, wRC+, etc. matter infinitely more nowadays when assessing the quality of hitters.
  9. Calling another human being a “garbage can” is not an opinion. It’s just wrong.
  10. Yep and you are always right as we all know. And by the way, scrolling through yesterday’s game thread I notice that almost all of your posts came right after the Brewers got in a 2-0 hole in the first inning and then pretty much taper off after the Taylor home run. Someone actually pointed this out and your excuse was, “work”, despite the fact that you were posting so much earlier in the game. Then, you come on todays’s thread and proceed to call one of our players a “garbage can” when there’s already been several warnings about using that terminology….
  11. No it’s not, because you’re never on here when the Brewers are ahead or winning. And nobody is here for sunshine and rainbows. But when you call human beings “garbage cans” that crosses a line.
  12. What do you consider Renfroe? Adames leads the majors in home runs by a SS and plays good defense so he’s definitely above average. Peterson has been above average this year….
  13. Please stop referring to human beings as “trash cans”. There’s already been numerous warnings about that particular wordage.
  14. Whatever Houser has been doing for the last month or so, it sure hasn’t been working. I want to see the guy who pitched from June on last year to the beginning of this year. That guy had an argument for being the best 5 starter in the game. As it stands now, he’s looking at losing his rotation spot…
  15. Obviously, the Jays lineup is littered with powerful bats, but at least we may be dodging George Springer in this series. He's out of tonight's lineup after having previously left a game earlier this week against the White Sox with right elbow discomfort....
  16. I would probably start thinking about next Wednesday in Tampa....
  17. Woodruff is better than Alexander and it isn't even close. Him being injured has been nothing other than unfortunate for us. Yes, Woodruff has a higher ERA than normal (largely driven by his first start in frozen Chicago), but literally every other stat says elite. We will be a significantly better team with him healthy and fronting the rotation alongside Burnes.
  18. I've spent some time perusing Cardinals Twitter and message boards in recent days and they're ironically as down on their team currently as some people on here are for the Brewers....
  19. Eh, we easily could've pulled off last night's game. But a split was my goal going into the series given our injury situation so I'm happy.
