  1. What a job by Corbin! And we were all worried about the pitch count...
  2. Yep. If he can make enough contact, he's going to be a perennial all-star for the Pirates. Though, I'm not sure about his ability to stick at SS at that height...He's got the cannon though.
  3. Perhaps the fact that Adames got injured at home plate earlier in the year played a role in the no-send...
  4. LOL at yourself. Besides the fact that he has a young family at home to think about, there are numerous cases of athletes ending up with serious side effects from the virus (myocarditis, etc.). And he made his decision at a time when there were no vaccines available and we still knew relatively little about the virus and playing sports during a pandemic. But yeah, woe to Cain for not seeing things your way…
  5. I'm talking about first base against lefties as opposed to Hiura, who still strikes out too much for my comfort and can be optioned back to AAA. And Severino has a .765 career OPS against LHP, including .818 last season. That will play in our lineup and help with our woes against LHP.
  6. This was stated on the television broadcast, but the Brewers now have the same record that they had at this point last season, when they won 95 games and ran away with the division. While the division race will likely be closer this time around, the Brewers are in good shape, especially now that the really difficult part of their schedule is behind them.
  7. With how Severino was crushing the ball in Spring Training and given that the offense is the main question mark with this team, I hope the Brewers do everything possible to keep Severino on the roster. While he is ineligible for the postseason, he may have a role in helping to get us there, particularly if he can play an adequate first base against lefties.
  8. Honestly, I'd be pretty content with a split this week. We don't quite have all of our horses back, yet.
  9. Cardinals lose! And the Brewers are back in first place....
  10. Woody struck out 7 in his rehab start last night. 96-97 with a nice sharpness on his breaking balls. One more rehab start this week, likely in Appleton. And Peralta is throwing now, too, which is good. The only reliever you didn't mention is Perdomo, who was pitching really well in the middle of the bullpen at the time of his injury.
  11. Like what is wrong with going with Miguel Sanchez, who is also right handed and doesn't have an ERA of 7....
  12. When did Kelley become one of our set-up men?
  13. Hey, JBJ is helping us out today! Hit an RBI single to give the Red Sox the lead....
