I always thought Attanasio had real guts when he decided to fire Yost in the middle of our September swoon in 2008. I'm not saying he should go ahead and fire Counsell tonight, but something along those lines needs to be done.

I do agree that the fact that they have not only failed to DFA Cain, but are starting him in today's lineup says a lot about where Counsell and Stearns are at right now.

Yeah, but to say that Stearns is not doing anything because he's checked out and focused on a potential Mets gig is not only wrong, but unfair to a guy who's been one of the best GM's in our history.

Jonathan Davis at least provides as good of defense as Cain and is hitting over .300 with an .852 OPS in AAA

Brewers are not trading Burnes....That would only be in a worst case blow-up the team scenario. And Woodruff is injured right now, so that's not happening either. Let's relax a little bit as despite our losing streak we're still in decent position playoff-wise, and it's a very long season. But they need to start winning again, and soon...like tomorrow.

It's largely the same guys aside from Peralta being injured until August and Cain going downhill. I still have hope.

The strike zone needs to be automated yesterday. I don't care what anyone else says about the "human element". Modern MLB umps are ruining the game.
