  1. Would be great if Josh does end up rejoining the team for the series in St. Louis. I certainly wouldn't blame him if he doesn't, though. Unlike me, he shouldn't be thinking about baseball.
  2. Gott, then Williams? Maybe Kelley if we scratch out another run or two?
  3. Just no excuse for not having ethan small up at this point. Whether out of the bullpen or in the rotation.
  4. Aces gonna do what aces gonna do. Now get the guy his second win of the season bullpen!
  5. Tyrone!! Taking the starting CF position and running away with it!
  6. I'm growing convinced that Corbin is going to win his second consecutive Cy Young with a total of 1 win on the season.
  7. Caratini has really perfected that throw to second from the knees. Should enable Burnes to go back out for the 6th.
  8. Brosseau does have a pretty good history at PETCO...
  9. Agreed. Not that the lineup we're having to throw out there isn't helping him, but we got the good Blake Snell tonight. And Corbin was nasty that last inning.
  10. Burnes' BABIP climbing rapidly all of a sudden.
  11. We get it. You're not a fan of Keston. No need to keep repeating.
  12. Fine result by me. Three hits on three good pitches. Only one run.
  13. To be fair, he doesn't have too many options right now with our injuries. And Keston has been a hotish hitter as of late.
  14. And now Danny Jensen has just hit a three-run home run to put the Jays up over the Cardinals 4-0. Good start to the night.
  15. I'd be all for that. And I noticed no walks to go with his 6 innings of one run ball tonight. Great to see! Excited about what he can potentially bring to the ballclub.
  16. I’m totally cool with Mathias being the call up. Guessing we will also see more of McCutchen in the OF for the next few weeks, which is obviously not optimal. I do hope, however, that it leads to more at bats for Hiura, particularly against right handers.
  17. Ethan Small starting in AAA tonight after having been scratched from his last start with a non-COVID illness. Interesting in that it would set him up perfectly to make his major league debut during our doubleheader in Chicago next Monday, when we will need an additional starter. Also wonder if we will see a position player coming over from AAA today as a result of the Renfroe injury, seeing as it leaves us dangerously thin in the outfield. Dahl? Davis? Mathias? Turang?
  18. It was a good decision. I stayed up in Central Time, and now I'm tired and pissed.
  19. A matchup of two Cy Young award winners tonight. Fortunately, only one has been validating that status recently, and he plays for us.
  20. I can't even imagine what he must be going through. Just praying and hoping for a happy conclusion.
  21. You do realize that if an opinion is different from my own, that literally means I don't agree with it. So, I don't quite understand what you're getting at there. And you have been quite the hot take machine in your short time on here, whether it's been your bizarre diatribe about the team's decision making procedures or your repeated railing against Hiura, so forgive me if I felt compelled to respond to your latest claim that the Brewers, who have some of the best odds in the NL for doing so, are now eliminated from World Series contention because they can't cash in on a bases loaded opportunity in a single game against the Padres in May.
  22. If you go back to Sunday's in-game thread, you'll notice that I said your take "was not unreasonable", though I personally (and many others) have already accepted that this is a really good team. Rather, my criticism was strictly about your comical propensity to initiate the "are we a good team" conversation literally every time we fall behind in or lose a game.
