We're going to need a 6th starter soon, so that hopefully that signals that Small will be assuming that role and that Ashby will be featured mainly in the bullpen.

His wife is pregnant and was supposed to be due around this time, so I'm guessing that is the family situation. Praying that it is good news.

Precisely my thoughts. But there was at least some pushback against my idea of acquiring Laureano or Mullins, so once I saw this rumor, I figured it was worth the bring up.

We're just lucky Byron Buxton wouldn't cost us Burnes because of the injury history. When healthy, he's right up there with Trout. Regardless, I don't see it happening when the Twins are probably about even with the White Sox for winning the division.

If I were the Braves, I would've gone with Strider to finish the last three innings a la Ashby on Sunday. No way we were scoring with the way he was pitching. Come on Brewers. Take advantage!
