  1. Agreed. Small can then be the swing-guy between the rotation and the bullpen.
  2. Great inning from Ashby. I believe his place is in the bullpen for now. Could really help stabilize that back-end after recent struggles.
  3. AND THE REDS LOSE TO THE PIRATES DESPITE THROWING A NO HITTER...Only the 6th "Blow-No" in major league history.
  4. It seemed like sarcasm to me and you just didn't put it in the blue font, but maybe I'm wrong. If that is the case, I'm sorry.
  5. Hunter Greene currently throwing a no-hitter for the Reds, however, they just took him out at 118 pitches after two consecutive walks in the bottom of the 8th. It will be up to the Reds bullpen (and their offense to score a run) to finish off the no hitter and cap a great week for them.
  6. Good job Woody. I'll take 5 innings of one run (earned) ball.
  7. With Ashby evidently set to come in relief of Woody. I am starting to wonder if we will see Ethan Small make his major league debut on Wednesday afternoon. They've been trying to give that extra day's rest to each starter, and without an off-day until Thursday, Wednesday would be the spot for a sixth starter...
  8. No. But I have a high degree of confidence that he'll return to being that guy.
  9. Woody is actually a good pitcher. Hernandez is not. Unless you think that 6 starts in 2022 negate three year's worth of being one of the best pitchers in baseball.
  10. The Marlins are not an "awful" team. They have some of the best pitching in baseball.
  11. .757 career OPS, .847 so far this year. Hits lefties really well. He's a good backup option.
  12. He wouldn't. Urias is playing shortstop right now, and I'm sure they would call up Turang if he does have to go on the IL.
  13. Nope. One of the highest BABIPS in baseball. Good underlying metrics. You don't throw out three whole years of ace-type work over 6 starts.
  14. More of the same. Missing clear strikes to help out the hitter...
  15. How can you say this when he should have two outs right now.
  16. Adames now out of the ballgame...So maybe a Turang call-up is still in order?
  17. Batting orders are largely inconsequential. The only thing that really matters is that you have your best hitters at the top of the order to get them as many at bats as possible. What the Brewers are currently doing is no different from pretty much every other team in baseball nowadays.
  18. Benintendi is a Gold Glover in left field, so that's where he would always play. Yelich would be the one to DH against right-handers. In terms of cost, something like Gray or Zamora would be about fair value, maybe even a little less. As far as Cain, a DFA would be preferable; otherwise, he can be the fifth outfielder a la JBJ and serve as a late inning defensive replacement and pinch runner.
