  1. Good job Devin. See what happens when you throw strikes...
  2. Technology has revolutionized society and led to tremendous social progress. I don't think it's foolish to expect that it can do the same for baseball by making the strike zone more accurate and uniform. It's hard to do a worse job than MLB umps nowadays are....
  3. Screw the reeducation and just take things out of their hands with an automated strike zone.
  4. Would have first and second with no outs right now if not for this embarrassment of an umpire...
  5. That's absolutely terrible. Fire every single one of these guys.
  6. Atta boy Burnes. Gave us 7 strong when our starters have struggled to go deep lately. That's what aces do. Now get the guy some runs!
  7. It's one of the best ones in the majors. Sometimes you face good pitchers in this league.
  8. To be fair, they've faced some really good pitchers over the last few Burnes starts. Fried and Lopez are awesome, and other lineups are struggling against them just as much.
  9. What's wrong with a painted white circle like in little league?
  10. And thus continues the pattern of former Brewers turning into hall of famers whenever we play them....
  11. I am very glad that we didn't give Avi Garcia what the Marlins gave him...
  12. The Reds official scorer would've given Urias a hit there.
  13. That was WONG GONE. JK, it just barely made it out, but still...
  14. Burnes is better and the Brewers are better. So, hopefully the other way around despite recent trends...
  15. Lopez has pitched like the best pitcher in baseball thus far, leading the majors in ERA. However, his past history and underlying stats indicate that he's not quite at that level. Probably more of a top 20/30 guy as opposed to a top 10 or top 5 pitcher. So, while runs look like they could be at a premium tonight (which would unfortunately be par for the course for Corbin), Lopez is due for some regression. Hopefully, that comes tonight, with Corbin (whose stats largely establish him as the best pitcher in baseball) spinning yet another gem as we begin to salvage what has otherwise been a disappointing road trip.
  16. Small will really help out the big league club whenever he gets the call. If it were up to me, it would be as a swingman/6th starter so as to enable Ashby to work out of the bullpen full-time.
  17. Cardinals fall at home to the Orioles 3-2, losing the series in the process. Brewers' division lead back to 2.5 games. Cardinals now face a tough matchup with the Giants coming to St. Louis this weekend. Overall, the Cardinals' series loss to the Orioles coincides with the Pirates pulling out a series victory against the Dodgers. An example of why a series loss against a "bad" team is part of a 162 game season and means very little as to the overall quality of a team.
  18. Figured there was a need for a thread as the season goes on. Cardinals currently trailing 3-2 to the Orioles in the bottom of the 8th, though they've scored in the last two innings to cut the deficit. Hopefully, the Orioles can hold on. They've actually got some real nice bullpen arms, as we saw during our series with them.
  19. Literally no one is digging up old posts here. And I don't know anyone on this forum who hasn't been concerned about Yelich at one point or another (including me). But completely giving up on the guy and ruling out him ever becoming a productive major league hitter again is another thing altogether. There were quite a few number of people who, as late as two weeks ago, were saying such things, despite the fact that his batted-ball metrics were as good as they've been since his vintage 2018-2019 seasons.
  20. You just love to see it.
  21. Sounds like there's a good chance Middleton plays in Game 6, which would be huge for helping take the scoring load off of Giannis and Jrue. Can't believe they pulled this one out. I must've told my buddy "they're done" about 10 times throughout the course of this game. Now, time for a good old BUCKSIN6 closeout on Friday!
  22. Glad to see I have the power of prophecy lol. Now, it's time for Corbin and company to come through and get us back on track!
  23. There's a major difference between cheering on your team and getting excited when someone hits a home run to making grand statements such as, "This team sucks..." Yes, this series was disappointing. But it's just one in a season of 162 games. We're in first place, after being in the playoffs four years in a row. Our hitting seems to be improved, and we all know how good our pitching can be when it's on. Let's just take a deep breath, watch the Bucks pull out a win in Boston tonight, and then move onto the next series where we have the best pitcher in baseball leading us off.
