  1. That right there proves our desperate need for a middle of the order hitter.
  2. Oh believe me. I took the time, and you clearly stated, "peralta can't be one foot in the door of being sent to the minors." He has absolutely no feet in any door of being sent to the minors. This is in addition to a post last week during the in-game thread (don't think it was yours) that asked, "how many options does peralta have left?" You made a ridiculous statement; own up to it.
  3. Dude just stop. Peralta is not in danger of being sent to the minors any time soon. It's been two flippin' starts, and his first one actually wasn't that horrible aside from the first inning home-run by suzuki. I swear, the complete lack of patience and understanding of the small sample size phenomenon from some of the people on this site is nothing short of astounding.
  4. We may have the best starter and reliever in the game right now (with impressive depth behind them). Just think about that for a sec.....I know the lineup irks us a lot more than we would all like and there remains that one elusive goal, but we should try to better appreciate the fact that what we are currently witnessing is the golden age of Brewers baseball.
  5. Thank you for digging this up! Confirms what I remember. Move him to lower leverage situations, and let him get right. Then, return him to his normal setup role. Gott has earned some higher leverage action, anyways.
  6. Still wayyyy too early for this. But it might be time to let him figure it out in lower leverage situations. If I remember correctly, this is what happened last year, and he was nothing short of sensational from June to his untimely wall incident.
  7. Also kind of frustrating how Hader isn't available in a situation like this. Even if he can't go the next inning, having him available to put out the fire here against a lefty would be invaluable.
  8. I will be interested to see who seizes the CF position in the post-Cain era between him and Mitchell. Though, Taylor may yet have something to say about that.
  9. But that sample size also doesn't take into account his recent mechanical adjustments at the plate. He's always had the talent and the exit velocity, the question has just been whether he can make contact at a reasonable enough rate for it to matter.
  10. It's funny how, as a long time lurker, these sorts of comments have had the exact opposite effect on me! lol
  11. Notice how I said "AS" concerned, which literally means I'm concerned. You must have poor reading comprehension, because I've stated on several occasions (even on this very game thread) how, while this lineup is plenty good enough to get us to the playoffs with our elite pitching (as demonstrated last year), we almost certainly need to add a piece or two to go any deeper. You should try a different schtick. Because the one you have going on right now clearly ain't working.
  12. Looks like we may need to start having the small sample size discussion again....Literally everyone besides Tellez is hitting well below their career averages. Unless the entire team has started a massive, coordinated decline, I refuse to believe that the sky is falling.
  13. Some of you seem to be forgetting the impending return of Urias. He won't solve all of this lineup's issues by himself, but he will certainly help.
  14. It's not like he hasn't been hitting the ball hard, though. Just hitting into some bad luck right now. Good thing we have the off day tomorrow.
  15. Dude we get it. We all know the lineup needs to show more and as currently constituted, is probably not good enough to win a world series. But how productive is it repeating the same thing over and over again, which in your case is like a bajillion times.
  16. Great job woody! Looks like he's settling into the pitcher we all know and love after the rough spring and first start at wrigley.
  17. We'll see. Did like what i saw from him in the spring with the mechanical adjustments (i.e., shorter leg kick). But there's just no way this can keep going on at the big league level.
  18. And winning cy youngs as opposed to sporting era's over six....
  19. In his defense, I'm sure the inconsistent playing time isn't helping. Thinking he'll be the guy to go down when urias returns.
  20. Pirates hitters be like, "We gotta see these exact same pitchers again next week?!"
  21. Rowdy=Lefty 2018 Aguilar. I'm speaking it into existence.
