  1. Roof looks like it's going to be open on a perfect night for baseball.
  2. I think it was definitely intentional, since LaRussa didn't argue the warning. LaRussa argues everything.
  3. Favorite moments for me, other than the obvious: -Bud wearing a glove to throw out the first pitch; -Attanasio leaping over the railing to hug Gomez; -Ueck's call - "The Brewers are movin' on!"
  4. Favorite moments for me, other than the obvious: -Bud wearing a glove to throw out the first pitch; -Attanasio leaping over the railing to hug Gomez; -Ueck's call - "The Brewers are movin' on!"
  5. Slow build here. Excitement this morning, but calm. Now ready to light this candle. Eye of the tiger boys, eye of the tiger.
  6. Yup. Jumped for me about June 15th. Well it hasn't for a bunch of people. I believe Morgan has two of the top 5 selling t-shirts on the team. And the team is loose and having fun, which he is a big part of. Between the roof, the parking lots, the personalities, there is sure a lot of complaining around here. I shutter to think what it will be like if the team only wins 90 games next year.
  7. No way Selig gets booed today. In any other city, yes. But today, with fans already excited, he'll be received as the man who brought baseball to (and kept baseball in) Milwaukee. Of course, there's one way he could guaranty an ovation - Beast mode.
  8. To the Brewers credit they opened the lots earlier than advertised - 12:20 or so on Sunday.
  9. Does anyone have a good picture of Yount doing the Beast after throwing out the first pitch yesterday? That would be an awesome one to get signed.
  10. I'm excited. Not nervous excited like 2008. Confident excited. I'm taking my mom today. She took me to my first game 25 years ago (Higuera lost to the Yankees). She's more geeked than I am today!
  11. I wish this were true. I fully expect some section to try to start the wave in a one-run game in around the seventh inning. God, I hate the wave.
  12. That is an awesome analogy. Somehow, I'm now even more excited for the playoffs.
  13. Terrace is fine, but I'll consider anything. Anyone have any extras they're looking to sell? Need 2 tickets.
  14. Hey you - the one trying to sell tickets on craigslist. Would it kill you to return an email? I'm trying to buy what you're trying to sell.
  15. Ibuprofen geeks are ruining headaches.
  16. Sorry for the double post, but MLB.tv is offering all the games tonight for $3.99 Link
  17. My immediate thought was that it sounded like the infamous "we want the ball and we're going to score."
  18. Technically I think his head was separated from the corpse. I don't know what ramifications that has in terms of which part is shaking.
  19. I guess we'll see if Braun can pull off the "Christian Laettner 10-10 clutchness" that was being discussed in one of the ongoing clutchyness threads.
  20. The other issue with craigslist tickets is that if the game is not played, the refund goes on the card used to purchase the tickets, not to whomever has the tickets. Hard to buy game 2 from a complete stranger at this point, given that it might not be played.
  21. I agree it's a nice honor for BA. From previous playoff series, I've really enjoyed Ron Darling. He's got the combination of good experience from which to draw and an intelligent manner of speaking (Yale!). I'm sure it will be an adjustment for BA after all those years with Rock.
  22. Seats are coded as Obstructed View if any part of the mound or hitter is obstructed. In the Miller Park Terrace, this is generally because of railings. Most of the ObsView seats are fine.
  23. I was at the game and stayed for all 7 hours, or whatever it was. On the way out, I think I heard people blaming just about everyone. For me, it's hard to get past RRR using De La Cruz, for multiple innings, no less. I also wondered, when they only brought up a few hitters in September, if there would be a game where needed another bat. Gamel would have looked nice in the late innings. Finally, I still can't believe our bench "power bat" is Kottaras.
  24. This was one of those games that where I never felt like the Brewers even had a chance of losing. The atmosphere at MP was electric last night and Braun, well what else can you say about Braun? Hits the big bomb, then in the celebration is jumping up on top of the dugout. Brewer fans under 30 - say hello to your Robin Yount. I was at the game with my girlfriend, who didn't like baseball before we met. Now she asks me daily if the Cards lost. I turned to her when it got to 3-1 on Braun and said something along the lines of "you might see something special right here." Then, boom. Then for some reason my allergies got real bad...
