    Rotoworld update: Red Sox sent RHP Julian Tavarez outright to Triple-A Pawtucket. Tavarez has accepted the assignment, apparently to give the Red Sox a few more days to finalize the trade they've been working on. The Rockies and Brewers have expresed interested in the right-hander.

    Per the Trib (half-way down the page), the Cubs are thinking about signing Edmonds and sending Pie back to AAA. Please let this be true. Pie's not an all-star, but he at least scares me a little bit. Edmonds' game has deteriorated terribly on offense and defense.

    So apparently our pitching situation isn't the only one with a little trouble. From Rotoworld: The 37-year-old hasn't pitched in the majors since 2005, and has undergone two shoulder surgeries since then. He didn't allow a run in four innings at Single-A Daytona, but gave up four runs in 2/3 of an inning at Double-A on Wednesday. Lou Pineilla apparently thinks he'd do a better job stabilizing the Cubs' middle relief than Neil Cotts or Sean Gallagher.

    The Sox had a rough year back in '04. Or it could mean that your 3rd base coach never takes any chances and you miss out on some runs.

    I also remember a play with Hart scoring from 2nd on a bunt or similar infield hit. Sveum waived him in, but I suppose that was just Hart being a good baserunner.

July and September are the key months, the team is home for 33 and on the road for 23 games those months.

    If you're planning on LF bleachers, especially during a Sunday game, be prepared to have your whole section trying to start the wave at least twice.

    Saw clips of the Yost presser after the game, he's definitely working on one. Stubble on the upper lip, clean-shaven on the rest of his face. This could be awesome in a few days.
