  1. I hope they make an effort to keep Ramirez and Houle, both late bloomers (relatively), that I feel will be major leaguers.
  2. The Cardinals did a pretty cool takeoff, tshirts that said "October is Coming" or something of the like.
  3. Equally likely that the Mets don't want to have to turn around and protect him in the Rule 5, wastes a slot.
  4. I'll only be furious if one of the six amounts to something. The odds are that none will. My furiousness is years away.
  5. I'd be fine with Nottingham, mildly upset about Gatewood, most upset about Peralta.
  6. I haven't seen any guesses, my WAG... Medeiros, Stokes or a Jungmann
  7. I think it was Taylor Green, not Gamel. Big Walker fan, guess it depends on the return.
  8. I agree with Jericho, he will finish out of the picture. Heck, I'm a Brewers fan, and I don't think of him as a ROY type guy.
  9. They scored 3 off the bullpen last night, the offense has been dead of late, but you have to take advantage of a weak bullpen. Just too deep a hole to come out of last night, if they can get to their bullpen with a lead, and Garza dealing and keeping the PC low, odds will be in our favor.
  10. They are doing a phenomenal job of running the pitch counts high on these starters, and the Cardinals' bullpen is as bad as ours. Get Wacha out of there, lets tee off on their middle relief again!
  11. Cool feat. Would have no interest in doing something like that. From the interview, seems like someone I would never have an interest in meeting. Guessing his social calendar isn't interfering with game times too often.
  12. I'm really not worried about Brinson, he's had some hard hit balls that were bad luck outs. He's young, probably over excited, he passes more of an eye test for me offensively than Arcia or Broxton. Regular playing time would be a good thing. Defensively, I like what I've seen.
  13. Edmonds is really complimentary of Brewers org and Milwaukee on the STL broadcast.
  14. Just about every team has a significant slump at some point in the season. I'd rather they slump now than September. If they don't pull out of it, then Gray or Kinsler would most likely not have made a difference. They've played above their heads, getting all-star numbers from cast offs and journeymen. The Cubs under performed, regardless of Quintana, they were going to play to their level at some point. The Dodgers, Nationals, and Astros are pretty much juggernauts, this is not a parity year where no one is jumping out...where a short sighted move may make sense. I think the Brewers' biggest issue has been the bullpen, they made two moves to address it. I'm fine with that.
  15. Kyrie doesn't want to be in his shadow, I don't think they have ever really gotten along.
  16. I'm very high on Rutherford, but still think the package going to CWS was light. Apparently the White Sox are trying to put together the entire top 40 of prospects. Good luck with that!
  17. Rose is not good. He's a ball dominant guard who can't shoot. He goes completely against the style of this team. They need a shooter who can play off of the ball. He was an amazing player, about 3 knee injuries ago. His ability to get through traffic was elite. He's lost that step. He's a name, and that is about it. He won't be paid as a bench guy, and Kidd won't consider him a bench guy. He's a net negative. I'd rather pay Henson to play in Oshkosh than sign Rose. This is the signing good teams avoid. It's signing Tim Lincecum today, and pretending that he is Cy Young Tim Lincecum.
  18. I would not "prospect" Corey Ray. In my experience, speculating on prospects comes down to their debut, and it usually revolves around HR. The only chance you have to recoup if their debut isn't astronomical is power. Aaron Judge flopped his debut, but has made up for it with power (and being in NY). The only hope for Brewers prospects, in a baseball card sense, is power. They're not going to get the national attention. There isn't much of the current group that I would invest in. Brinson is already priced out. Erceg spiked with his debut last year, he may sag with current production, may be worth limited investment. Diaz possibly. Prospect Brewers for fun, as their values don't usually match. I don't prospect pitchers, especially not Brewers pitchers.
  19. I agree overall. But look at this way, Henson at roughly 3/30 or Rose at the same, or even only a two year deal instead. I for sure would go Rose, and I hate Rose. Henson can't even get on the floor. If we give some ridiculous 4 year deal though for 15+ mil it's a huge mistake. I can live with sunk cost. Henson is an absolute waste of money, but outside of consuming resources, he doesn't typically detract from the team. They would be signing Rose to play him. If the Bucks wanted a ball dominant player who can't shoot, they could have kept MCW, or Brandon Knight. Really all they need from the PG position is defense, and the ability to hit open 3s. Rose made his money driving the lane, and his license has expired. I could live with bringing nothing to the table, but he takes a lot off. He would instantly replace Corey Maggette as my least favorite Buck. Although, this would be quite the testament to Hammond...even if you're gone, we'll still make terrible free agent signings in your honor...
  20. Rose is done. His speed, which gave him his edge, is gone. Signing him would be tragic. He would move us backwards multiple steps.
  21. So far, I like my predictions on record and the dive for PIT/STL. Was way off on Peralta and Shaw. Happy to be wrong about Shaw!
  22. Well, I hit the second round pick. I like him, hope he makes the team. He can replace Vaughn.
  23. ...or not
