  1. Finally hit the 900 post mark. In just a shade under 12 years. Probably the only site I've consistently visited for 12 years.
  2. My wife bought an Asus one a few months ago. I can't say we use the tablet feature that often, but the hinges have had no issues as of yet. It's a nice machine.
  3. Agreed. Didn't matter the receiver, he was 3 steps behind him. Witten broke free on him for goodness sakes, I wouldn't consider him elusive.
  4. They are going to struggle against the Howard/Jordan/Chandler 5. Big guys that can move. Henson can handle the hybrids, Moose can handle the Lopez/Jefferson types. I like the team overall. It's going to take a full season to figure it out, and that's with Middleton hurt. They are a terrifying first round matchup for anyone. They seem to play their best as the underdog. If they can sneak into the playoffs, they are going to be a scary matchup. Parker/GA are just a fantastic combo. I like Brogdon, he's the role player they need. I can't blame management for not having a better 2 guard, you can't spend big money when you have so much invested in KM. This was a somewhat lost season when he was injured, they are playing incredibly well in his absence. They are a top 3 team next year, IMO.
  5. I think our defense has always been a bend don't break style. The Packers rely on turnovers, if they get them, they look fantastic, if not, they're well below average. The knock I have on TT this year was believing that Sam Shields would make it through the season. Once these guys start piling concussions, they're done. Regardless of skill, they're going to have issues. I can live with the RB situation, Montgomery has been serviceable, and he went and got Michael. That was about as good as he could do at the time. No one is giving up an RB1 mid season. He addressed the secondary through the draft and undrafted FA, but they just aren't very good. Randall was the worst player on the field Sunday, he looked thoroughly defeated. I thought Brice was better, and he was a practice squad guy until the end of the season. If he's going to jump in the FA market, I hope it's for secondary help. Micah Hyde has been playing out of his mind, and is probably a big reason they are still in it. Injuries happen, but some like Shields, should be anticipated.
  6. Neither were ideal, I'd probably give the ball to Rip if I had a choice in that scenario.
  7. Michael is a straight ahead runner, when he tries to cut, he looks like he is running in socks. He had a good game. Dallas and Seattle thought they had the answer in him as well, he's not. He's a good second back. I agree that he should have had the ball on 4th, given his success on the drive. My only thinking is that if 88 is in the backfield, you have to at least consider a pass play. If 32 is back there, the play is a given. Not that it mattered, was a bad call for a 4th and inches. Otherwise, really fun game to watch!
  8. I went to the Winter Classic last weekend. I always said that if it was ever in STL, I would get tickets, regardless of cost. They were not cheap, but the experience was so worth it. A baseball stadium is a lousy place to watch a game, but the atmosphere was awesome. The alumni game was fun too, and I was able to watch Gretzky and Hull skate in person. Well worth price of admission.
  9. My argument is that the only way we are playoff ready in the next year or two is with Braun. If we are a pitcher or two away at that point, given our payroll, I would assume we would grab one or two of the big names on the market for the push. We'll attempt to do what the Cubs did, go out and grab a Lester. Possibly trade some of the lower farm, but I don't think we go to the Series from organic growth. We will pay for the final pieces, and I doubt the cost will matter.
  10. Beasley is actually doing exactly what he is supposed to. He's a volume scorer. He's inefficient, he plays no D, and he's exactly what was advertised. I don't like him, but I'm not mad at him for doing what he does. Teletovic has a concussion, that is why he is out, I would like to see him get more minutes when healthy. Terry should be there to cheer, and play Maker minutes, he gets way too much run. I like Brogdon a lot, I think Monroe has been pretty good about his role. Snell has been what I expected, average most nights, with a few big point nights like against WAS. The Plumlee contract is awful. I'd happily send a 2nd along with it to someone for no return, just to get out from under it. I think Henson can be the 5 on this team. I like Delly, but I think he could be upgraded. We don't have much in trade assets, but I would love to pull one of Smart/Bradley/Crowder from Boston. I feel like any of those guys would fit well on this team.
  11. I really thought after watching him last year, Plumlee could fill that role. I thought they overpaid, but given the market, I didn't see anyone else that fit that description. Rebounding, Defense and putbacks was basically his game. The contract just made him seem to forget how to do all those things.
  12. I think he's in a toxic environment. I'm not saying he'd be a girl scout elsewhere, but Sacramento certainly exacerbates the problem. I think he wants to win, he seems more focused on that than fame. Coach K loved him with the Olympic team. I think he'd be good with playing with Giannis and Parker. It's whether Milwaukee wants to pay him the max. If we could get Cousins for Middleton, Monroe and a 1, I'd jump at it. Heck, throw in Vaughn. See if more playing time helps him, he's still young.
  13. Middleton is really the only asset of that bunch, and he's hurt with a somewhat rare injury. I'll be surprised if we get a 2 for Moose, and Beasley is the village bicycle, everyone gets a turn. If we were to get Boogie, I'm guessing our 1 would be in the mid 20s. I think SAC would ask for Giannis, and accept a package built around Jabari. The way those two are progressing this year, especially together, they are untouchable. Parker has been unstoppable of late.
  14. I'd actually be fine for trading Plumlee for another bad contract, if that player could be useful. I don't think we have the guns to get Cousins. Would probably start with Parker, our 1, and a future 1.
  15. **Completely Irrelevant Comment** Every time I see one of these "Trading x" posts, it makes me think of the "Killing x" book series by Bill O'Reilly. (Which are really good, regardless of how you feel about him)
  16. Agreed tm, although I blame Kidd for some of the personnel issues too. He seems to think that you put together a team like a pickup game, grab the "best" 5 guys you can, and run. I think GA, JP and KM are untouchable. I can't imagine there is a market for Maker yet. If we do our annual "shake up" trade, I assume it will involve one of the Centers. They're paying too much for 3 guys who aren't the focus of the team. IMO, the mistake would be trading Henson, but he is probably the only one with actual value. I wish Teletovic was the scorer that I think they were hoping for. I think they're just missing a 15 a night wing from being really good. The leaps that Jabari and Giannis are making are just fun to watch. Those guys are REALLY good.
  17. I get that vibe from him as well. Won't be robot overlords though, I think he's very wary of advanced AI. Although it didn't stop his driverless car.
  18. I dunno, I have a good feeling about Maker. I know they're working hard with him, he could be an unbelievable X-Factor for them off the bench a year or two from now. The rewards of that pick are going to require patience. There is absolutely no one better for him to learn from and emulate than Giannis.
  19. Bikeage, I really liked it. They had it on Amazon Music, so I've been able to enjoy it there. Kinda reminds me of old school Tribe, mixed with maybe the newish Kendrick Lamar? Either way, enjoy! Check out the Childish Gambino if you have a chance, it's not rap. It's kind of like 70's soul/funk. I really don't know how to explain it. He's trying a bit hard, but the overall feel of the album is pretty neat.
  20. I think I only listened to 2 new albums this year. I liked both the New Tribe Called Quest and Childish Gambino albums...
  21. Did someone say my name? http://a.espncdn.com/combiner/i?img=/i/headshots/mlb/players/full/6218.png&w=350&h=254 If you look in the mirror and say his name 3 times, he'll hit a sac fly to left center.
  22. He's gotta be good, the Phillies traded Sandberg for him...
  23. Agreed, the bullpen especially, is a great place for reclamation. How many times have we executed this flip with KRod? Like 17 now? Relievers can live off their name for seemingly far longer than position players.
  24. They're certainly different. I'm not sure there will ever be a direct comparison to them, or perhaps anyone. Maybe Magic/Worthy? I'm not sure I'd put Giannis in Magic's category, but he does seem to be on the track to being a 5-position player, and if Parker maintains his trajectory, he could be a nasty pure scorer.
  25. Essentially, yes. I really doubt we actually wanted Caleb Smith and just traded him away for virtually nothing. This is not uncommon, we've done it a number of times in the past.
