  1. That was a fun hit to tie it up.
  2. Had no idea so many people would lose their minds over losing out on Amed Rosario and Willi Castro.
  3. Some of those guys have really gotten a lot of work.
  4. The Brewers tweeted it out.
  5. I don't love that they're giving up Jorge Quintana in the Cortes deal.
  6. Teams are giving up honest to god prospect capital for relievers and we just bought ours. This rules.
  7. I dunno, I'm pretty happy with Durbin.
  8. I can't wait to see what AJ Preller gave up.
  9. There hasn't been a single move yet where I thought the Brewers should have been in on it instead.
  10. It'd be like trading Luke Adams, Carlos Rodriguez, and Craig Yoho.
  11. The most I would go for Suarez is Lara. He's turned himself into a legit prospect and the Brewers are light on OFrs in the minors, but the Brewers have Perkins. Throw in Carlos Rodriguez too.
  12. Suarez: 8.2 (median) Henderson: 12.8
  13. Doubt it.
  14. In the offseason when the Brewers traded for a top 100 prospect to play third, moved their impressive rookie 3B over to play short, had a platinum glove winner at second, Hoskins at 1B, and Yeli to DH? Yes, I would have been furious with that offseason trade.
  15. I hate this so much.
  16. That appears to have been taken from a fake trade the JS writers proposed last week.
  17. There's a strong, if not likely, chance that the Brewers are going to need four new starting pitchers next year with Quintana, Cortes, Woody, and Peralta gone. They can't afford to throw away cheap locked up players for two months of a corner bat.
  18. The Brewers and Mariners are the #1 and #2 ranked systems. Take your pick in which order. They gave up their #13 and #16. Gasser and and Meccage are the Brewers #13 and #14, the two closest pitchers in that range. Their ages essentially line up. It's as close a comparison as you could make. Wichrowski (#25) and Warren (not ranked and not close to being a prospect) is not.
  19. Trading Gasser and Meccage for an average rental 1B doesn't seem expensive to you? That's an insane price.
  20. No gun on Gasser but velocity appears to be good.
  21. Suarez isn't taking ABs away from Monasterio, though. He'd be replacing a regular, one way or another. Maybe Vaughn, maybe Ortiz. I think it's highly unlikely the surplus value over those two come close to what I anticipate we'll see from Yoho.
  22. I really don't think I am. Rentals are basically never worth it, particularly at the plate. I'm not giving up 5-6 seasons of quality relief pitching for that.
  23. He's also a 20 year old in single A. I don't think that's as big a deal as some, but it's still a factor. I also think calling him a very solid 2B is being pretty generous. I think he'll have to end up a LF/DH.
