  2. I agree. IF something happens, it will most likely be a jaw dropper and someone will get moved from Milwaukee that noone saw coming. Based on the past, though, I just don't think it's going to happen. I want to be "knee-jerky" and see a huge move for the sake of seeing a huge move but I'm not sure it would be beneficial.
  3. Maybe I'm missing something. Where would you play him? LF?
  4. From JSonline: Lock him up and hand him the ball? I don't think so but I have a feeling there's a "huge shakeup" move coming down today.... http://www.cprompt.ca/Debbie/images/Penticton_BCCanada_storm_coming.jpg
  5. First off, the Brewers DID start 24-10. They also had a huge lead...and now it's gone. Rationalize all you want, they've blown it. Amen, bother. If there's one thing I can't stand, it's the defeatest attidude that has crept into the minds of Brewers fans for so many years. I'm seeing it now and it's unacceptable. They still have a lead and to use one of my least favorite cliches, "The season starts today."
  6. I work with a pretty obnoxious Cubs fan and when I walked into work yesterday, she started and I just put my hand up and said, "The games were bad enough so anything you say can't be worse than that so don't waste your breath." For the record, she pointed out to me that Theriot (pronounced There-eee-ott) has been a nice surprise this year. I also work with a smart Cubs fan (yes--they do exist) and we've agreed that both teams are going to choke and the Cards are gonna win the division by 8 games--that works for us...
  7. I wasn't picking on your post or your thread. I know what you meant. The title just looked optimistic and that part made me laugh--that's a good thing. I needed a laugh today http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif You're right, though. I have a feeling this roadtrip will empty the bandwagon a bit but you can't jump ship just cause of a skid. I've read it here and many other places that things are never as good as you think when they're going well and vice versa. Even keel. Fairways and greens. Be the ball. Please don't take offense to my quote--none was intended. You made a good point and I agree with you. There's been enough chippiness around here lately and I certainly am not looking to contribute to that--especially on a post that is not predicting doomsday.
  8. OK. I've avoided venting through this whole week but I just can't hold it in anymore. I worked alot this week and had to watch most of this garbage on gametracker. First, I'd be all happy and getting along with people. Then, after I suppressed my urge to throw the computer at the heads of innocent and kind people, I would snap on them as if they had just caused harm to my family. Very few are fans so I hear garbage like, "It's OK. It's only a game." "It's not the end of the world, right?" "At least you still have your health." WELL YOU WON'T HAVE YOURS IF YOU KEEP SAYING JUNK LIKE THAT TO ME! AAARRRGGGHHH!!!!!!!!! Why do they do this to me--to us--every year. Sometimes I think it was easier when they just sucked and there were no expectations. Why does Ned have to sit there with that smug little look on his face acting like he doesn't realize they just totally embarrassed themselves on multiple occasions. AAARRRGGGHHH!!!!!!!! Why? WHY!?!? Ah. A little better. NOW FINISH SOME GAMES AND GET YOUR HEADS WHERE THERE IS SOME SUNSHINE!
  9. This struck me as funny as I was reading this post hoping for an uplifting message. I'm not making fun or being sarcastic--I just thought this was funny. When all was well, a friend of mine was all giddy and I was not sharing in his giddiness. He asked me when I would believe that this was the year. I answered, "When they're 3 games up with 2 to go." The same holds true if I was asked when I thought the season was over. Strap in and hang on. I have a feeling that no matter what happens, this is gonna be a bumpy ride!
  10. I have tickets to 3 including Tuesday...at least I won one of the games. I tried to take the day off but pulled up on gametracker to see 5-0 in the 7th--sweet. Do whatever it takes. I'm in for locking it. I'm in for a beard. I'll go pee my pants right now if you promise 5/6.
  11. OK--I think this thunderstorm rolling in as the Brewers put together a big inning is a sign from The Man that this team is gonna get back on track. How cool would it have been if Braun homered on that swing where the thunder was rolling? And is it just me or does it sound like they're broadcasting this game from the stands? I've never heard so much noise.
  12. I think I may be needing some Brewerzac here shortly...OK--those are my last ones. That was great fun for me as my brother in law is a Cubs fan--and one of the ones who knows nothing about either team--just follows them cause it's trendy. I know have endless material to periodically email him. I will focus on blessing the Brewers though I'm not sure I can stomach 500 pictures of 1982...I get enough of that at MP.

  15. Really? I think it's hilarious and I think any Cub fan with a sense of humor would think it was funny as well. The fans of either of these teams has, in reality, no business making fun of the other. Together, we symbolize futility.

  18. Bonds Sheffield Punto (I have no idea why--I just really dislike the guy) Wells Schilling OMG--I forgot to put Zambrano on here initially...today's loss has me rattled I guess.
  19. I would be interested in the Bill Hall plaque and Carlos Lee bobble--does a happy face for a price mean I just have to smile at you to get it? PM me with a total. Thanks!
  20. http://i183.photobucket.com/albums/x202/bwucinski/mushroom.cloud.jpg I think I'm gonna steer clear of here for a few days...I'm gonna go cry now.
