Is this assuming Vieira has a roster spot?

Montgomery unlike Snell and the other big FA this offseason has not had a QO put on him because he was traded midseason. That likely is what is deterring him from signing a short term deal because the QO if you aren't a superstar level player definitely hurts your market.

Yeah I am pretty sure the original story would end up with Ohtani committing a crime, so of course the lawyers would come in and make sure that story doesn't air.

Ippei was not one of the employees that could trigger an opt out. That clause only applies to Mark Walter (Chairman) and Andrew Friedman (POBO). Edit: Source - AP News: https://apnews.com/article/shohei-otani-dodgers-3fe44e39efc42674f75b5233cc01b149

Awesome article Jack. Murphy definitely is not what I anticipated he was when he was rumored to be in the race for the manager's job.

Arroyo is on a minor league deal with a camp invite, so he doesn't need to be optioned if he doesn't make the team.
  7. Lucas O.
Well no he was sent back because he was never seriously going to make the team

Wes Clarke was sent back to minor league camp over a week ago. He has a 0% chance of making the team.

Logan Henderson removed from the game after an awkward pitch. Really hope it's nothing serious.

It's also on MLB.com for those who don't have MLB network

Chourio seems to be singled out publicly for every mistake he makes by Murphy and he's the only one who seems to get that treatment. I remember after Dunn's 2 error game earlier this Spring Murphy brushed it off and complimented Dunn.

2 things that stuck out to me. Lara is in the AA/AAA group and Barrios is in the A+ group with Guilarte in the A group.

Gasser is having a really nice ST. Would be a bummer if he doesn't make the opening day roster.

I'd also add in the worst possible outcome that DW's issue would flare up after returning forcing him into back surgery and basically eliminating any chance of the Brewers cashing out on him.

Our rivalry continues on a new frontier.

That's brutal. What looked like our biggest strength going into the season now has a some question marks.

Thats how I hope they would do it if Williams was out. Rather than commit to 1 pitcher go by committee and matchups. If it’s a LHH heavy 9th I’d even consider Hoby for the close.

Brewers website has Blalock going to Nashville, but Curt Hogg said he's going to Biloxi. Is there a reason for that?

Brewers featuring their most MLB looking lineup of ST tonight.

Murphy just announced Turang as the opening day starting 2B. I expected this. Would expect a much shorter leash than last year for Turang though.

Rosiak has me very confused on twitter. In his article he mentioned Arroyo having no options works in his favor to make the team. I asked why that matters because he's a NRI on an MiLB deal so he doesn't need to be optioned back to AAA. Rosiak then claimed that If Arroyo isn't added to the 40-man he would be able to be claimed by any team? I'm really confused.

So Todd Rosiak posted his Opening Day Roster prediction. SP - Peralta, Hall, Rea, Ross, Junis RP - Clarke, Hudson, Wilson, Bukauskas, Milner, Peguero, Payamps, Uribe C - Conteras, Sanchez IF - Hoskins, Turang, Adames, Arroyo, Miller, Ortiz, Bauers OF - Yelich, Frelick, Mitchell, Chourio

I imagine they would need to trade to get him. Doubt he makes it to the Brewers waiver priority.
