  1. Not many MLB players can routinely hit 400ft opposite field HR and Chourio is doing it as a 19 year old with plenty of filling out still to do.
  2. After the HR today, .207/.329/.345 so probably around like a 75-80 wRC+
  3. I feel like people are reading more into the Wiemer on the bench 2 days in a row thing than needs to be. Wiemer has played a lot this year and hasn't had many days off especially when you consider he's a rookie CF. There isn't a drop off going from Wiemer to Perkins defensively so this is likely just giving Wiemer a couple days off after a long season for him. Very unlikely that he's being traded or benched.
  4. I think they need both 1B and DH. I’m not sold on Tellez coming back and hitting after a pretty gruesome hand injury. The DH doesn’t even have to be a pure DH. Guy could be any position just needs to be able to hit. Edit: Brewers are last in fWAR at both 1B and DH. 1B they are almost 2 times worse than 2nd worst. Those positions absolutely need to be upgraded.
  5. Maybe they don’t need to trade for an OF anymore if Frelick can come in and be a league average hitter from the start. They still need to trade for a 1B and DH though. Preferably the 1B is RHH and can hit LHP. C: Contreras 1B: Trade acquisition 2B: Turang (regardless of how people feel about his bat, seems like Brewers are intent on keeping him in the lineup) 3B: Anderson SS: Adames LF: Yelich CF: Wiemer RF: Frelick DH: Trade acquisition Bench: Caratini, Monasterio, Miller, Perkins Basically they need to trade for 2 bats that could hit 3rd and 4th in our order to slide the Adames/Miller 3/4 duo down in the order.
  6. Did Italian win the Sausage Race in honor of Frelick's debut?
  7. Maybe they just had the crowd mics louder than Bally does, but the atmosphere felt really loud on the TV
  8. This Nolasco guy on the mound for the Cannon Ballers in the 4th inning literally looks like Abner Uribe's little brother. The physical looks and mannerisms literally look identical to Uribe
  9. You can literally send him down at any point over the next multiple seasons and get the extra season. Doing it in the middle of a playoff race when he's our second best OF is just absolutely stupid and would be blatantly obvious service time manipulation.
  10. Absolutely correct and the comparisons to Turang are extremely bad faith. Turang was below replacement and the worst non-1B infielder on the roster when he was sent down. Wiemer is the 2nd best OF on the team with Perkins, Taylor, and Tapia all below him on the pecking order so sending Wiemer down would be a blatantly obvious service time manipulation move.
  11. Turang was a below replacement level player when he was sent down. Wiemer is a solid regular on pace for like a 2 WAR season.
  12. Who knows but sending down a player in a clear service time manipulation move is certainly something that could rub a team the wrong way.
  13. Who knows. Miami has absolutely tanked since the FO sent Eury Perez down to avoid Super 2.
  14. Doubt they called him up to keep him on the bench so I would bet he's starting.
  15. Down on the Farm actually did an article where they assigned specific WAR values to picks and the Brewers actually fared pretty well in that metric. We were 8th in the MLB when factoring in draft position expectations. Here is the article: https://downonthefarm.substack.com/p/the-most-successful-drafting-organizations
  16. Yes that $1.43M number is a rounded version of the 5% overage space.
  17. Why would the Brewers trade a super high ceiling teenage prospect to clear a space for a super low ceiling 22 year old prospect?
  18. He's 57th percentile in Pop Time to 2B. The leaderboards just include qualified catchers.
  19. To me he slowed down because it was a super routine plan and really wasn't a need to continue running hard. He didn't pull up like he tweaked anything. It was a smooth slow down not a sudden oh crap I pulled a muscle slow down.
  20. So Quero was taken out of the game after his last AB. The Biscuits broadcast mentioned a potential injury. I went and rewatched the play and saw absolutely nothing that would indicate he even tweaked something. My theory is they just wanted to give him the rest of the game off with a comfortable lead and the long rain delay. They certainly will want him catching Misiorowski tomorrow so if he isn't starting tomorrow we might have to worry a bit.
  21. $1.43M to use on 7-20. We don't have the $ amounts for 7-10 yet so not sure what we have to work with for 11-20.
  22. They posted an updated one with his name on it I believe.
  23. So with the 7 official signings we have in round 1-6, that leave us with $1,428,130 for rounds 7-10 and 11-20 and remember 11-20 the only the money over $150K counts against the bonus pool. If those reported numbers for Pratt and Bitonti are correct we will have a lot left over for rounds 11-20.
  24. Law has never been a big believer in Misiorowski. He thinks he's going to be a RP and that he only has 2 pitches. He's definitely the industry low on Misiorowski but also is the industry high on Quero and Black. Law in general seems to like players with a strong floor even if the ceiling isn't that high over some of the more volatile guys with crazy high ceilings.
