  1. So you just want to give up on Winker 24 games into a season! Fantastic idea! I've also explained ad nauseum why Contreras is not remotely comparable to Grandal. Stop comparing the two situations.
  2. Catchers basically never catch day games after night games. You're making this way more difficult than it has to be.
  3. Mexico City's elevation is 7300 ft. Denver's is 5200 ft. Again not really comparable.
  4. Helton has Coors working against him though and Votto has an MVP.
  5. Big reason I think he's bound for 1B eventually. Doesn't have the arm to play 3B and doesn't have the range to play 2B. I actually thought he has looked best defensively in the OF but we have a lot of OF prospects above him on the pecking order.
  6. Need to get off to a good start in this one. 3 game losing streak and we have been down early in all 3. Down 4-0 in the 2nd yesterday. Down 3-1 heading into bottom of 3rd Monday. Down 3-0 in the 2nd on Sunday. Absolutely need Freddy to bounce back today.
  7. Thank you for this article. I thought he was way further away from the plate than normal lol.
  8. Brewers BP has been phenomenal this series. 10 IP, 7 H, 0 ER, 2 BB, 11 SO. Too bad the SP has been absolutely atrocious. 8 IP, 13 H, 8 ER, 6 BB, 5 SO.
  9. Salt Lake City is 4300ft above sea level. Mexico City is 7300. Just not even comparable. They can explore these effects in AAA where there are a bunch of PCL parks at high elevations.
  10. Is he going to sit on the bench? I think he continues to start and Anderson goes back to 3B.
  11. It will be Perkins going down who looks even worse than Wiemer offensively and isn't close to the defender Wiemer is.
  12. Disagree. Elevation will always be the biggest issue with Mexico City.
  13. I don't think MLB would ever go to Mexico City because of the elevation. 8000ft above sea level would be way too offensive of an environment.
  14. Smart play by Ward in LF throwing his hands up with the ball under the wall. That easily scores the runner from 1st if it isn't an automatic double. 5-3 is much different than 4-3.
  15. 2nd inning wasn't as good for Misiorowski. Battled the command a bit. Gave up a run on a walk and two lazy line drive singles. Final line for him, 2 IP, 2 H, 1 R, 1 BB, 4 SO. 41 pitches, 29 strikes.
  16. Misiorowski just had one of the most dominant innings you will ever see. Struck out the side on 11 pitches. Only 3 pitches were outside the zone. 7 swings, 6 whiffs. His command seems MILES better than it was last year.
  17. And here I thought we couldn't possibly have worse injury luck this season. 4 weeks into the year and we already have more injuries than we did most of last year. Frelick needed thumb surgery from sliding into a freaking base for goodness sake.
  18. One positive from today is Bryse Wilson is actually looking like a good pitcher. Would not be surprised if he pitches himself into a more high leverage type role if he keeps this up. He's also under control through the 2026 season if he can keep this up.
  19. Just really hurt when Boyd got a clear ball called a strike on a 1-1 count with the bases loaded and 2 outs. Perkins probably doesn't get a hit either way but 2-1 would have been way different than 1-2.
  20. What the guy with an average EV against in AAA of 92 mph isn't an MLB pitcher? I am shocked.
  21. Just a laughable strike 2 call.
  22. It was also an absolute meatball on the full count.
  23. He's making another start in AAA last I heard.
  24. Rea really can't afford to walk hitters.
  25. Boyd and Rea have virtually the same career ERA.
