  1. Schmitt is the guy I mentioned earlier this year as the one I would want if we traded for anyone from the Giants. His swing decisions are really bad but I think the Brewers have shown to be pretty good at improving swing decisions (Andrew Vaughn last year in big flashing lights). Schmitt could be our everyday 3B and he can also play some 2B and 1B or corner OF in an emergency (obviously the OF is not ideal). He really does make a lot of sense as a Brewers target but he has 3 more years of control after this season so I'm not sure how interested the Giants are in trading him. Like he could be their starting 2B after they trade Arraez.
  2. If you're Rule 5 eligible you're eligible for the minor league portion as well. Obviously you can be protected if you're put on the AAA roster but we never see the actual protected lists for the minor league portion.
  3. He's a FA at the end of the year
  4. MLB Pipeline hasn’t done any updates since February. That list is crazy outdated at this time of the year.
  5. This is not remotely true. Hardin is our second best SP prospect and Adamczewski might be the best pure hitting prospect the Brewers have. Adamczewski is already making Top 100 lists (he’s 76 at BA for reference) and Hardin has been getting some steam as well not in terms of Top 100 but he’d be a Top 10 prospect in the vast majority of MLB systems
  6. Against a LHP which wasn’t the point of the thread. Everyone would take Vaughn over Frelick against LHP. Even Frelick’s mother.
  7. Cubs just traded for David Peterson from the Mets. I’d guess he’s going to start against us this weekend
  8. Brewers pitchers threw 214 pitches today. 23.8 pitches per inning. No clue how the Brewers won that game
  9. Murphy about to reap what he sowed on Sunday. Patrick clearly doesn’t have it.
  10. He’s also super slow and not very good defensively so all of his value is in his bat which doesn’t profile very well for AmFam
  11. Unless he has a super quick 4th inning I think he’s done after the 4th
  12. Brewers might come to regret not using Rom the day before he was being sent down up 7 runs and instead having Patrick throw 3 innings
  13. I don't think it changes anything you said, but he's 25 and turns 26 in September.
  14. If his scouting report is accurate from BA, I don't think he's going to go Top 10. Think there's enough question with the hit tool to keep him from rising that high. Late first seems more likely.
  15. The Brewers would say no to that. Plus I don't even think Houston is going to sell.
  16. I think this is who the Brewers draft in the 1st round if they don't like any of the college bats that fall to them. Just feels like a Brewers move. Extremely young. Great frame and projection. Premium defensive position. I see @snoogans8056 beat me to it.
  17. It will be interesting to see what happens with this DSL season. Right now the offensive numbers in that league are at a staggeringly high level. For comparison Jackson Chourio in his DSL season had a .403 wOBA which translated to a 130 wRC+. Ricki Moneys coming into today had a .402 wOBA which was a 97 wRC+. Virtually identical production but one was 30% better than the league average and the other is sitting at 3% below league average.
  18. I know Cedar Rapids aren't as good as they traditionally have been this year but to start 2-0 against them after having your two best hitters promoted to AA is really impressive.
  19. Just on TV. 10 EV more on the Bitonti blast could explain the extra 60ft haha. You don't see many players hitting the ball out of the park to straightaway CF in this park.
  20. Bitonti just hit a baseball farther than I think I've ever seen in this park. Think it went over the batter's eye in CF at 112 EV.
  21. He has a minor hamstring injury
  22. He didn't go three in a row but yesterday was 4 of 5.
  23. Uribe is serving his suspension tonight. Good time to get it out of the way.
