  1. NOBLETIGER for Wisconsin in the 6th after the Moore leadoff HR. That was probably the best chance they'll have to tie/get the lead against a very good Great Lakes team.
  2. It's legal for the runner to do that. Hall needs to adjust his throw instead of just throwing it straight into the guys back.
  3. 1B Alex Hall blows what should have been a relatively easy double play by throwing the ball straight into the back of the runner going to 2B.
  4. I think there are plenty of AAAA guys in Nashville that the Brewers can simply release if they wanted to get time for Valerio in AAA. Eddy Alvarez, Josh VanMeter, Skye Bolt, Monte Harrison, Tyler Naquin, Roman Quinn, Michael Reed. Those are all AAAA type guys who shouldn't prevent a prospect from being promoted and getting playing time in AAA.
  5. At least I got to witness the Cardinals bullpen with a blown save today although the game isn't over yet so they could still win. The best ERA on their active roster is 3.91 and they only have 2 players with an ERA below 4 on the active roster. Crazy bad.
  6. If Wiemer was the RF today not Anderson, the score would be 2-1 Brewers still. Anderson had 3 really bad plays that inning.
  7. i feel like Cardinals will go on a hot streak if/when Marmol gets fired so the longer it takes for that to happen the better.
  8. I should have said 5 of their best 6 hitters. Forgot about Eduarqui Fernandez and Tayden Hall. Carolina currently has 3 above average healthy hitters: Luke Adams (134 wRC+), Kay-Lan Nicasia (107 wRC+), and Jheremy Vargas (103 wRC+). Tough to win games when you just have 3 above league average hitters on the season.
  9. Difficult for Carolina to replace losing their 2 best pitchers so far this season (Misiorowski and Jimenez promoted to A+) and 3 of their 4 best hitters this season (Wood, promotion to A+, then Lara and Guilarte with injury).
  10. Greinke had a 93 ERA- in Milwaukee. He didn't pitch like an ace when we had him. Sheets had a couple seasons where he pitched like an ace but 87 ERA- in his career in Milwaukee isn't exactly ace material.
  11. Out of qualified pitchers, Burnes is 28th in ERA and 45th in FIP. That's not ace level pitching. Just because it is better than Gallardo and Greinke who never pitched like aces in Milwaukee doesn't mean that it's ace level pitching.
  12. They have started to look like an actually good team lately. Since the 6 game sweep against Quad Cities in the middle of May, their record is 11-6 and they are currently up 7-1 over by far the best team in the Midwest League. Lots to like although the offense is still on the underwhelming side.
  13. Carlos F Rodriguez was born in Nicaragua but moved to Miami at 8 years old and was drafted out of JUCO, so I'm not sure there is any correlation because he wasn't an international free agent signing.
  14. Thankfully we are blessed with video of the Jhonny Severino HR's. HR #1. HR #2.
  15. So the Brewers went from good at elevating the ball and hitting it hard last year to bad at both those things this year and you're saying the approach hasn't changed...seems convenient. Brewers have the 4th lowest pull % in the MLB in this season compared to the 12th highest last season. Brewers have the 24th highest flyball% this season compared to the 12th highest last season. So they are pulling the ball way less and hitting the ball in the air way less but the approach is the same!
  16. Brewers have the 3rd lowest launch angle, the 5th lowest avg EV and the 8th lowest hard hit % in the MLB this season.
  17. Woessner pitching another gem. Currently at 6 IP, 3 H, 0 ER, 0 BB, 8 SO. Sitting at 77 pitches so seems likely he will start the 7th inning.
  18. Feels like this is just delaying the inevitable.
  19. No this is actually a bad offense. Unlike the offense last year that was above average/good that you and others here constantly felt the need to rag on.
  20. They are playing a double header tomorrow. Believe it's single ticket double header so you could get 14 innings of baseball for the cost of 9.
  21. Brutal game for Stiven Cruz currently at 3 IP, 10 H, 7 ER, 1 BB, 3 SO with 4 HR given up.
  22. Luke Adams just flashed a cannon arm throwing from basically the edge of the grass right on the line to get the runner at 1st.
  23. Rattlers are facing Tarik Skubal on a rehab assignment today. Very tough ask for the young guys in A+. Robert Moore struck out on 3 pitches. Wood hit a first pitch single on a grounder down the LF line. Joe Gray Jr got down 0-2 then was hit by a FB on the elbow. Alex Hall hit a FB to the track in left-center. Eduardo Garcia battled a bit but struck out in 6 pitches.
  24. I do think the hype got to be a bit much for Chourio especially after he hit A+ and the results were very good but not special. He has a lot of developing to do, but he has "generational" type tools with his combo of speed/power. 70 grade speed and 70 grade power (107 90th EV for a 19 year old at AA is absolutely absurd) just gets people excited.
  25. That explains the Brewers batting order
