  1. Luke Voit DFA'd.
  2. I have a feeling Caminero is probably untouchable for a team like Tampa Bay. I've seen the prospect sites raving over him. Saw a baseball prospectus guy last night that thinks he will be unanimous top 10 prospect in all of baseball during the midseason updates and this guy also has Caminero over Chourio at the moment. Tampa isn't going to give up a prospect like that for 1.5 seasons of Corbin Burnes.
  3. I had originally thought this, but I think teams will stay pay up for him. He's 6th among qualified SP in stuff+. His stuff is still super elite and I think teams will care more about that than they will middling numbers. If a team is willing to trade for him they will likely believe they can get the most out of his elite stuff and that they will be getting a great pitcher out of it.
  4. There’s no need to rush to extend him. He’s a guy who was non-tendered largely because of his recent injury history keeping him off the field/unproductive on the field. Rushing to extend him because he’s stayed healthy for 50-ish games could seriously backfire for Milwaukee.
  5. Black can play the OF (I would argue it is where he is best defensively), and could potentially make sense as an option this season. I personally would promote him to AAA and if he keeps raking there for a few weeks would potentially call him up to the MLB around the beginning of July.
  6. I didn't see any injury situation during the game. He hit the HR in the 6th then was in the field in the 7th where he wasn't involved in any plays. Biloxi gave up 3 runs that inning and were down 11-1 going into the 8th inning when he was removed.
  7. They are getting their ass kicked and probably just wanted to give him a couple innings off.
  8. Jackson Chourio just smoked another moonshot to LF off Montgomery's Mejia. He's now 2-3 with a 2B and HR in the game today. His OPS is currently sitting at .734
  9. I hope not. He has not been good during his rehab stint at the plate and even worse in the field. I really hope they don't rush him back.
  10. And Ke'Bryan Hayes (who is probably better than Arenado at this point). And Machado.
  11. He's played like a totally washed dude this year so wouldn't at all surprise me if he's out of the league within the next couple of years.
  12. Winker scratched with neck discomfort. This feels like it ends up with a fake IL stint for something super minor.
  13. So you get to make all these excuses and stipulations just so you can continue to be incredibly negative all the time. Must be a fun way to be a fan!
  14. LMAO. Gasser and Ruiz (who turned into Contreras and Payamps) is now a subpar return for 1.5 seasons of a 1-inning reliever.
  15. People can keep saying this but the top 3 of the rotation have been either extremely injured or extremely underperforming in the last 2 seasons.
  16. No chance Burnes goes 9 innings but this 1-0 prediction is looking pretty realistic.
  17. Burnes is a great thrower of the ball. He has electric stuff but he's just not currently a good pitcher. He's made zero adjustments to how he pitches in 3 seasons despite the results continuing to get worse. Last 145 IP he has a 95 ERA- and 96 FIP- despite having elite stuff for a SP.
  18. Going to suck for you when Burnes pitches 9 innings of 1 run ball and we lose 1-0 lol
  19. What addition should they have made? Toro is worse defensively and has hit worse than Monasterio this year and Alvarez is in the middle of a huge slump.
  20. He's been horrible in May with a 33 wRC+ and 36% K-rate.
  21. I wanted to complain about it but this lineup is just really bad lol. Winker - 66 wRC+ (54 wRC+ in May) Tyrone - 32 wRC+ (all in May) Turang - 62 wRC+ (66 wRC+ in May) Caratini - 79 wRC+ (2 wRC+ in May) Wiemer - 63 wRC+ (28 wRC+ in May) None of those guys deserve to be hitting anywhere but the bottom third.
  22. That's a horrifying lineup to look at. Somehow they will probably put up like 5 runs against Webb though.
  23. Andruw Monasterio was added to the 40-man and called up to replace Adames and he has experience playing SS.
  24. Why would Darin Ruf be DFA'd? He has a 103 wRC+ for us and that's with some horrible batted ball luck. Plus he smashes LHP. Keston is hurt and Alvarez has a 33% wRC+ in May with a 36% K-rate. Why is Suter even mentioned in the same sentence as SP? He's pitched 4+ innings 1 time since the start of 2019. Chase Anderson...? Just why? What does Chase Anderson offer that Rea and Teheran don't?
