  1. No chance Turang is scoring if that’s off the wall with both defenders right there to immediately get the ball back in.
  2. Bauers grounding into a game ending double play after Turang for whatever reason wasn’t tagging on Contreras fly out was a pretty fitting way for the game to end. Not playing clean Brewers baseball came back to bite them today.
  3. I’d guess they are doing the same thing with Gasser that they did with Drohan this week. Throw out of the pen on Tuesday and then have his start pushed back to Saturday/Sunday. If they do this and keep up the 6 man rotation they would have the top 4 lined up to face the Cubs in Wrigley.
  4. Just not at all true either. They could have rolled over and given up in series 3 of their 3 city road trip after losing the opening game 22-0. They won game 2 putting up 7 on our SP and then after falling down 6-0 in game 3 got it back to 6-4 knocking our SP out in the 4th inning.
  5. It's another double day! In honor of Seattle getting the W to push us to 26, I'm going with Brewers/Mariners legend for 26!
  6. Dangit. I was going to use Wickman for mine lol
  7. Swapping Gasser for a bullpen arm doesn't help the current problem of being thin on leverage availability. If the Brewers needed innings ate today they could have had Wilson eat the innings. Adding someone like Stallings wouldn't have changed anything.
  8. I'd also say if they were mailing it in, I don't think you see them bounce back as well as they did after losing 22-0. They beat us the next game and then they fought back to make it a competitive game after going down 6-0 in the first inning in game three.
  9. Lara should have his challenge privileges removed after that. Absolutely unacceptable.
  10. 0 outs and I think it's an okay not great challenge. 2 outs and I think that's just a bad challenge. The likelihood you're going to have a 2 out rally against Sale with the bottom of the order is really low. Up 2-0 you should probably just be saving that challenge for the pitching side.
  11. No xBA has nothing to do with catch probability.
  12. xBA isn't relevant for fielding because it doesn't factor in where the ball was hit or defensive positioning. All it factors in is EV and LA.
  13. Misiorowski going 6 shutout on a day his command looked like this is pretty incredible
  14. Pratt and Lara seem to be trending hard in the wrong direction at the plate. Hopefully they can turn the tides between now and the postseason
  15. Do you know what the tiebreakers are if they win and the Giants beat Kansas City tomorrow? If it is run differential they would need to win by 4 runs.
  16. Crazy that they waited until their first home series after the rookie eligibility cutoff passed to call up their prospect and didn't call him up to debut on the road!
  17. Here's the update NL Central Playoff Odds after our win today according to Fangraphs
  18. I feel like these games where you get out to a big lead and let the other team back into it are more stressful than the low scoring games where you have the lead because it feels like the other team has momentum when they cut the lead from 6 to 2.
  19. I definitely did get some FOMO during that A's series this year where it felt like Kurtz could get to any ball thrown to him.
  20. I think switch hitters typically just hit on whatever side they prefer hitting from when facing position players
