  1. Yeah here are the average age of position/pitcher groups relative to league average for all the Brewers minor league teams. Carolina Position Players - 19.8 years old vs 20.9 league average (-1.1 years), 12th oldest out of 12 Carolina Pitchers - 21.6 years old vs 21.7 league average (-0.1 years), 7th oldest out of 12 Wisconsin Position Players - 22.0 years old vs 22.5 league average (-0.5 years), 10th oldest out of 12 Wisconsin Pitchers - 22.9 years old vs 23.3 league average (-0.4 years), 10th oldest out of 12 Biloxi Position Players - 22.5 years old vs 23.8 league average (-1.3 years), 8th oldest out of 8 Biloxi Pitchers - 24.3 years old vs 24.3 league average (0.0 years), 5th oldest out of 8 Nashville Position Players - 27.7 years old vs 26.6 league average (+1.1 years), 7th oldest out of 20 Nashville Pitchers - 28.0 years old vs 27.3 league average (+0.7 years), 4th oldest out of 20 Outside of Nashville, every single position/pitcher group is in the younger half of the league.
  2. They went 3-1 today and have 3 teams above .500...how has the whole system been disappointing?
  3. Biloxi is just playing some really bad baseball right now. Runners on the corners with 1 out in the 7th. Valerio hits a line drive to RF that required an offbalanced shoe string catch from the RF and Sparks doesn't even feint a tag from 3B. The RF didn't even have to throw the ball to home plate.
  4. Biloxi seriously miss Uribe and Thompson. Bullpen just hasn't been the same without them.
  5. Cam Robinson's disastrous 2023 continues. He had a 6.75 ERA in AAA and was just pulled after only getting 1 out today with his AA ERA ballooning up to 7.94 with him also leaving an inherited runner on base.
  6. Yeah I have been saying this for a while. His OBP is highly overrated because he's such a terrible baserunner. He's the definition of station to station as a runner. Generally speaking to score him from 1st you would need 3 singles, a double+single, or a HR.
  7. Need Freddy to pitch to his potential today. With all the SP injuries happening we really need Freddy to take that leap and be a more consistent top of the rotation type pitcher.
  8. Zamora with 3 errors today. 2 throwing errors (both on pretty routine plays) and one missed catch error on a double play ball.
  9. Shuckers have now struck out 16 times in 6 innings.
  10. Unfortunately they brought him back out for the 9th. He walked the first hitter and gave up a 450ft walkoff HR to the second hitter. Those first 2 innings were super dominant though.
  11. Embarrassing night at the plate for Biloxi. Through 5 innings they have struck out 13 times.
  12. I said Voit is good against RHP. That's it. He's been horrifyingly bad against LHP but this year like his entire career he has been good against RHP.
  13. You know what. You're absolutely right! You know better than the numbers! Brewers need to get you into their FO ASAP and you can teach Arnold how to run a baseball org!
  14. Voit has sucked against LHP this year. That's it. He still looks good against RHP but his role has left him hitting against a ton of LHP.
  15. ...this was in response to me suggesting I would rather have a Voit/Ruf DH platoon than a Winker/Ruf or Winker/Voit DH platoon. brewers888 said that's a pathetic DH platoon so I cited numbers showing it would be a top 10 DH platoon based on last year's numbers. I never said the Brewers would actually use that DH platoon but it's what I personally would want.
  16. Why? Voit had a 116 wRC+ vs RHP last season and a career 129 wRC+ vs RHP. Ruf had a 116 wRC+ vs LHP last season and a career 142 wRC+ vs LHP. That 116 wRC+ platoon would have been the 9th best DH performance in the MLB last season.
  17. I'd rather have a Voit/Ruf DH platoon than see Winker. Voit can hit the RHP and Ruf the LHP.
  18. And this is why Jake Cousins isn't an MLB pitcher at the moment. Absolutely zero command. That flies in AAA when his stuff overwhelms hitters and he gets some hilarious chases but he cannot consistently get chases like that in the MLB
  19. Yeah. He has 1 option and he still hasn't hit 5 years of service time.
  20. Yeah I did a comparison of Adames and the top FA to hit the FA market and he compares really poorly to that group. Baez - 4.0 fWAR/600 PA with 6.1 fWAR peak Story - 4.1 fWAR/600 PA with 6.3 fWAR peak Turner - 5.1 fWAR/600 PA with 6.8 fWAR peak Correa - 5.0 fWAR/600 PA with 6.2 fWAR peak Bogaerts - 3.8 fWAR/600 PA with 6.1 fWAR peak Swanson - 2.9 fWAR/600 PA with 6.4 fWAR peak Seager - 4.8 fWAR/600 PA with 5.4 fWAR peak Lindor - 5.3 fWAR/600 PA with a 7.8 fWAR peak So he has the lowest peak by a considerable amount and the second lowest career fWAR/600 PA. Swanson the only guy with a lower fWAR/600 PA was coming of a 6.4 fWAR season and had been a 4,5 fWAR/600 PA guy since 2020. If Adames wants $20M+ a year to stay in Milwaukee, I would pass. He's already declining in sprint speed and has a batted ball profile that doesn't seem like it will age well. I think Brewers fans just remember 2021 Adames and think he will return to that level, but there's been nothing in his career to indicate that level in 2021 post trade is sustainable long term.
  21. This gives off fake injury vibes because Rea wasn't eligible to return until the 30th.
  22. The GOAT @Smichaelis9provided video of the double play via twitter.
  23. Moore and Brown Jr are some middle infield duo. Just turned a ridiculous double play started on a crazy spinning throw from Moore.
  24. Also should be taken into consideration that Tyrone basically did not have a spring training so him getting off to a slow start isn't at all shocking. Plus if he was performing up to his xwOBA he would have like an 80 wRC+ (which isn't great but but with his defense and base stealing is easy an above average player).
