  1. We aren’t getting McMahon “for free” or the equivalent. But it won’t take a top five prospect involved and possibly not a top ten prospect either. But I personally am preparing myself for Boeve to be the headliner which will be tough if it comes to fruition.
  2. Perkins for Baty since Mets CF bader who was a very good defensive cf departed makes at least some sense.
  3. I like it especially if it enables us to deal Perkins at a somewhat high value note. Do the Mets need defensive OF depth or help after Bader moved on? Baty for Perkins?
  4. Iglesias is a better sign than Dejong and still out there. Furthermore, Frelick may indeed play some 3B. Furthermore beyond, we may be targeting a top prospect via trade vs some of these “value” signings of the past month. Furthermore beyond beyond , maybe if Durbin fails we feel Wilken/Boeve/Pratt need the pressure and will go to one of them sooner than us fans predict.
  5. Ok how about Baty and a 30-40 Mets ranked young minor league arm for Crod?
  6. Why would Baty for someone like Tyler Woessener and EBJ be a deal people here would be upset with?
  7. Heaney would be a good addition if he didn’t cost more fhan around 5 million per year. He’d fit in as a 3/4.
  8. I would add Brett Baty via trade and Justin Turner in more of a 3b/1b/dh role.
  9. I wouldn’t want to trade such young cost controlled talent McMahon. And I’m not trading Black until he is given at least 400 abs.
  10. This makes a lot of sense to me. I’d be open to actually letting him be opening day 3B.
  11. I expect to get a massive haul for Contreras next off season and plugging Quero in to start . So I’m not dealing Quero. The haul we get for Contreras is way more beneficial to the brewers than holding him in 2026 or at least 2027 and we need Quero to do that.
  12. Ouch! Ok I have been persuaded to hope for help elsewhere.
  13. Drury I’d bet is the guy for us unless we want Frelick playing at third which is plausible.
  14. Wondering if he makes sense for us if the numbers are right. We have plenty of picks and could afford to give one up if we get a discount BECAUSE we are giving up a pick and other teams are shying away from him for that. I like the idea of signing him if it’s a 3 year deal at a somewhat discount. Thoughts?
  15. I am liking the prior posters idea of Iglesias more and more. Should be cheap enough and even if he can OPS .775 and have the above average glove at SS, we can let our infield lie as it stands and because I believe Pratt can be ready in 2026, it’s a move that makes a lot of sense.
  16. I really don’t care about the bench except for three things 1) Black needs to be on the team the entire year be it as a pinch hitter, DH, 1B , playing bad infield somewhere, or playing corner infield hopefully adequately. But he needs to be on the team all year and not a day in AAA. 2) Haase has impressed enough to get the full year at backup catcher. Delay Quero clock and there is a decent reason for it. 3) Perkins is obviously good enough to be a spare OF if not more. Those three should not be demoted under any circumstances.
  17. I think I sell myself on Drury signing a team friendly deal at this point .
  18. I read somewhere (note from a message board poster so take with a grain of salt) that Moncada apparently isn’t that interested in playing baseball anymore. Probably not true but passing along during a slow brewer off season.
  19. Yeppers, every into-the-salaries brewer fan understands your point. Comes back to Cronenworth for Hoskins and which level prospect goes where . Probably too tough to figure out which team should receive which prospects and not worth the time.
  20. Turbo we agree! Yes, definitely no to renting a starter for the prospect capital it will cost. And yes I’d deal Payamps and something like O’day or Peguero and O’day for Arraez if they want a cheaper reliever to cut salary. Let him play a little 2b and 1b and be a great pinch hitter option when not starting .
  21. I don’t think this is the year to buy a rental giving up prospects. Dodgers are way better than us anyway yet we stand a good chance at making the playoffs. Let’s just stay the course and maybe bring in a free agent or two that haven’t been signed yet. But don’t trade prospects for a rental (not this year anyway).
  22. Would he take the attanasio typical 5/100 deal? Would open up a Frelick trade for Lowe or Boehm assuming Yelich can handle left well enough (Perkins remains ans well) and Hoskins DH. Interesting if nothing else.
  23. Fun fact : Alonso played for the Madison mallards.
  24. I wouldn’t include Black or Henderson. I’d probably do Dunn, Or’Rae, and Knoth (not that the Rays would). But I’m not including Black oe Henderson in a. Lowe deal.
