  1. From the braves I like: AJSS Waldrop Grissom for Burnes and Wiemer.. From mariners I like: Woo for Mitchell and Small I’m
  2. Uribe gasser peguero small Peyton Henry
  3. Fellas Garver makes all the sense in the world for Mark As free agent addition of the year right?
  4. If Padres really want Burnes, what do y’all want after their Soto trade?
  5. We have been drafting and obtaining OF talent and now need to probably deal one maybe two. This theory is going to come to test this offseason. If Mitchell/Wiemer are in the minors with the other platooning, I feel we didn’t succeed in our hoarding.
  6. Black appears ready to take an everyday job starting on opening day. The options for position for him could be 3B, 2b or 1b. But his bat is clearly ready and he needs to be penciled in at one of those spots. Brock Wilken looked good out the gate too and appears likely to do Aa to start and likely promoted to Aaa at some point in 24. Does this mean we should not be searching so hard for IF help with our trade chips and should be ok penciling Black in somewhere and stop gapping another IF spot for Wilken to claim in 2025?
  7. Sheehan Frasso and two 9-18 type prospects along with Lux for Burnes and Adames would be fine. Get two big time arms first though for sure but three years control of Lux could pay off again in a couple years if the guy can just stay healthy. i want Turang at SS this year as an aside. I don’t believe the bat plays at 2b so it’s either SS or Counsell-as-a-player type utility role for Turang going forward in my opinion
  8. If we didn’t lose anybody today, I view the draft as a success .
  9. I’d be very good with Lux coming our way as sort of a “buy low” but agree not as anything more than the third piece of a deal.
  10. Mark A’s World Series is finishing ahead of the Cubs in 2024, thus Burnes can’t be traded so that we can finish above Counsell’s new team.
  11. Sign Giolito and Garver. Trade Burnes and Adames
  12. I have mentioned that Mitch Garver is a great fit on our club and would much rather throw a few million AAV to him than sign Gary Sanchez.
  13. The key is getting Woo and let Ms. pick whichever of those three they like most and make it work.
  14. Saw a Mariner fan on Twitter had been mulling dealing SP for OF with the brewers and these were the names that were brought up. I checked the baseball trade values site to see if the value lined up in their opinion and low and behold it does. id love to add Woo and pencil him into the middle of our rotation and Hancock is a good 4/5 prospect as well. Personally, I’d pull the trigger if offered assuming the Chourio deal goes thru. Start Yelich/chourio/Frelick with Taylor and Perkins in reserve and wait for the next OF prospects to emerge. That’s a solid OF crew for opening day right there (some see Blacks best position as OF as well). Also, sort of gives us an ability to trade Burnes for the best player package overall and not necessarily the best pitching prospect package. Anyway, I like it but I’m interested in what do you think?
  15. Mitch Garver seems like the perfect FA for us. We have capable aaa depth but also a catcher we want to play a lot. Garver has the bat to DH though and I’m guessing 1b wouldn’t be that tough for him in addition as well as catch once a week. 3x45 makes sense to me. Thoughts?
  16. Vargas for Adames and woodruff I’d do. Dodgers would too.
  17. Let everyone bid on Corbin and then go to the dodgers and take their package at the end. Like clockwork. Watch it happen before Christmas …
  18. I think we overpay by a million or so given the Counsell departure on a two year deal. That would be the obvious smart money bet as a betting man anyway. What that two year deal looks like idk….but we will pay an extra million due to the bad look of the Counsell bolting is where my safe money will bet .
  19. Yes, Soler makes a lot of sense regardless if we deal 1,2,3 or 4 of Burnes Peralta Adames Williams. Our team will still be good enough to compete for a playoff spot even if we deal all four and Solar fills at DH nicely. Good call and one I’ve felt already too
  20. Well if that ends up being the case, then Mayo, Hall, McDermott, Beavers for Peralta is fine by me too.
