  1. As long as said human is on the 40 man roster….yes sir. Look for him to replace Seigler by Sept 15th or so but he will be below Monastario and I think be a good teammate for whatever opportunities come his way. and I have to add….Seigler will be a big part of our future and is worthy of a utility role on a pennant chasing team (a role he will fill in the years going forward for cheap if not again this year but maybe again this year.)
  2. Well we should get an extra year out of Miz now at least, big turn from a month ago.
  3. Yeah, you definitely don’t need to trade both Hall and Yoho for Morgan. More likely someone like Carlos Rodriguez is enough for him by himself.
  4. Priester is Greg-Maddux lite. Pitches incredibly well even if his stuff isn’t the nastiest.
  5. If he somehow is a 28 year old semi-stud, do we still have the six years control or is there an age factor limiting our control?
  6. Just looked up Hazle on Wikipedia. Sounds like he had a strong start for Milwaukee before tailing off in the playoffs. That said, if Vaughn hits .154 in the playoffs yet gets two hits in game seven of a World Series win, I think we can stomach whatever arbitration cost may come.
  7. I thought I read his number would be around 6 million, but even if a step higher, he’s proven enough ALREADY to be worth investing on for next year, correct or not?
  8. Yeah, dudes whining about Suarez are dumb. Proof is in the Arnold pudding.
  9. If we offer Woody the QO and let him walk and deal Peralta for a Burnes type return, might we have the money to pay Schwarber? Otherwise, I’d love to sign Ha-Seong Kim to a deal. Others we should consider are Suarez if it’s a 3 year or less deal and then Naylor if (big if) Yelich can play at least half the time in left. Getting the QO pick for Woody and then some top prospect types for Freddy I think will be the way to go. Frees up some money too to go after one of these guys .
  10. My alternate question to those giving poor grades is this: If the Suarez trade was Henderson, Hardin, Wichowski, then what grade would you give it for the brewers . If OHearn would have costed MecCage, Letson, and Adamczewski then what grade would you give the brewers .
  11. Luke Adams is pretty close to ready for a call up to aaa as well. Hopefully Ortiz performs better and we can stand Pat at the IF until Pratt, Adams., Wilken, Boeve are ready to compete for a MLB spot.
  12. Ehhhh look at the deadline as a whole. Gave up zero high ish prospects. Got a reliever with double digit saves and an under 2 era. Got a catcher with some pop that’s had some success as a starter if needed. That’s an A or a B deadline.
  13. Which is the best option as Turang is a better SS than anyone we could add.
  14. Don’t hate and just don’t post if it’s too early for you. So we saved our pitching depth and I’d inquire on Jose Ramirez, Zach Neto, and the like this offseason and be willing to make a solid offer for them. If Woody keeps this up I’d offer him the QO. Im open to keeping Peralta and taking the comp pick but I’d trade him for a Burnes equivalent value package. Quintana might be a great cheap guy to resign for the 5 spot even with out pitching depth. Deal him as we did Cortes at the deadline next year if we have too many good options in our system. Reese walks and we pay the buyout. Was a shrewd signing that didn’t go our way enough. Offer arby to Vaughn and he’s our 1B period. Quero becomes backup catcher in 26 so we can see if Contreras is tradable after the 26 season.
  15. Adding Suarez doesn’t increase our World Series odds more than a couple percentage points. Right now we are the best team in baseball. If we are hot in the playoffs, we will make the World Series. Because we keep our prospects, we will have multiple chances at the World Series and my guess is we get there by 2030 (maybe even this year ).
  16. I give it an A-. We didn’t give up anybody we deep divers are counting on neither now nor in the future. We added a good backup catcher with some pop. We added a double digit save reliever with an under 2 era that won’t be overworked (due to injury). And we maintain flexibility to fix what ails us this offseason.
  17. Look at it as Cortes for Shelby Miller if you want to be an optimist in line with what the front office had to have been thinking .
  18. Soooo….look at it as Quintana for Shelby Miller who prob will make this look very very acceptable.
  19. This thread reminds me of Bucks realgm on draft nights!
  20. Im good with the deadline. Didn’t want to move any of the talked about guys for Suarez or O’Hearn or trade talent for a bullpen arm when we have so many starters in AAA that would be better than whomever we would obtain.
  21. For Ramirez, I’d give up Pena, Henderson, Patrick, Bitoni, and Crow.
  22. Probably in the final minutes of Cleveland picking a Kwan offer. Let’s see if we succeed…
