  1. Thank you. I see lots of people here and elsewhere giving up on Jabari. I think many are skittish about his shot at this point. There's nothing I've seen that worries me about his touch and I'm convinced it will come around. His role in the offense this year has been mostly cleanup work. Pretty sure he's not really allowed to shoot from the outside a la giannis the past few years. He's worked hard on his body so the work ethic is there which makes me think his defense will come around too so he's at least passable.
  2. Unless I'm reading the article incorrectly, it looks like the Brewers promoted Jeff Levering to Joe Block's role and are now looking for candidates to take Levering's old position. http://m.brewers.mlb.com/news/article/163249600/brewers-promote-levering-block-to-pirates Good. I like Levering in the booth well enough but did not enjoy his work on the podcast.
  3. Called off school already here in Green bay. Probably guarantees the biggest dud snowstorm of the year....or that the bad part pushes back to Wednesday. No complaining about a day off from teaching though
  4. Good. The worse the better.
  5. Has anyone tried the android/mobile version? I played ootp9 years ago and I'm considering trying this out.
  6. Stein says we are working on an extension with Henson. Hopefully less than 9 per.
  7. I agree. We do need spots but there are others that could be moved. Zaza was annoying to me as a starter but i like him as depth. Hopefully more moves to come. Looking forward to seeing Inglis play tomorrow. Hoping he can be a defensive presence at 3 positions.
  8. Rebounding is good for up tempo offense.
  9. Funny, I can still muster excitement for some of these guys....even the ones that are out of baseball. Salome, Parra, Braddock. Too talented not to make it, right? I wonder who am i being irrational about in our current prospects? My guess is Lara. I'm pretty pumped about him.
  10. I wonder if they'll be streamed on fs-one like the bucks have been.
  11. Cue instant in-head theme music, repeat.
  12. I'm out on Knight for the future. Can't stand his shot selection.
  13. This bucks nets game is crazy
  14. Seriously, you're just making stuff up. If no arena gets built, the NBA has the option to buy back the team for 25 million more than the sale price. There is no way the other 29 owners are going to turn down their share of a 500 million dollar profit (if they turned and sold the team to a different ownership group in Seattle for 1B) in order to let these current owners keep the team AND move it. True, it is speculation. I expect a stadium to be built as well.
  15. Seems to me that they'd be OK with moving the team if the city doesn't step up. They'll make a good faith effort because they agreed to but I don't think they're feeling any pressure. Uhh, the NBA buys back the team from them if they don't get it done for little if any profit. They have every reason to get a deal done because they won't have a team if they don't. Thanks for the info, I missed that. However, based on what I'm reading this is only a buy back option. I think it's more likely that this was included to allow kohl to cement his Wisconsin sports/loyalty legacy than it is to ever be exercised. From new ownership perspective, worst case is they get paid $25 million for their trouble (admittedly a small sum for them). Better case they get a new arena in Milwaukee. I could foresee a scenario in which they put forth a good faith effort, Milwaukee can't work it out, the league allows them to keep the team (maybe with a "small" settlement fee), and they bounce to a place like Seattle. I can't imagine they'd be sad about that. Admittedly this is speculation on my part but it makes sense to me. That's where I was coming from with my original statement.
  16. We'll see

  18. These Brewer manager discussions always depress me. We should have better choices than curly, moe, and Larry. Reinforces my idea that managers have little positive impact, they mainly get in the way or mess things up. Keep RRR around to manage the clubhouse and hire a computer so he isn't forced into a position of weakness (having to think)
  19. It looked like Sedar was focused on waiving Braun in, then turned and was surprised by seeing Gomez already 3/4 of the way to third. He gave Gomez the stop sign but it was way too late. I attribute this to RRR + Gomez bonehead = bad things. I wish Gomez would not have blamed Braun. More boneheadedness.
  20. I would rank them Parker, Embiid, Wiggins, Exxum. I just do not see the love for Wiggins, I think his athleticism will blend into the NBA and I can't stand his decision making offensively. I want no part of Exxum based on the limited amount I've seen mostly because he's quick, but not quick enough to make up for the fact that he can't shoot a lick. Embiid is risky but I love what he brings to the table physically, especially balance, footwork and touch. Honestly, I like Randle better than Wiggins and Smart better than Exxum.
  21. I am terrible at parking near the proper entrance of large buildings.
  22. I have actually gotten used to this effect and many times prefer it. It does make bad acting stand out like a sore thumb
  23. The scary part of that headline was yuni being on our team in 2014
  24. This was not a Lucroy problem, this was a whiney wolf problem. Now Peralta is the same way. That is because of language and familiarity as far as I know.
