  1. Theoretical Psychology Can write know anything http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c247/elvermanwrites/2557292420_86f5390e81_m.jpg
  2. Someone on here a few weeks back was saying "I'm so sick of 82, Yount, Molitor, etc..." And while I understand it a bit, how could anyone not fully appreciate Yount? I mean, forget the HOF stats - how many guys out there can claim to have played the most games at two different positions in the history of a major league franchise... ? Yount was pure gold and a hero for more than a few of us growing up. I imagine that, had the internet and around-the-clock sports reporting been around while he played that Yount would have Favre-like lore in Wisconsin... He almost does even without that kind of exposure... EDIT: And since inside I'm still a 12 year old boy: Ubaldo = Usucko
  3. That would be fun. I'd also like to combine eras and see a Coutlangus/Fingers matchup. wait - what happened? I was too busy giggling at the above post to see what happened with Hart at the plate... stupid Gameday...
  4. One thing: to be upset over losing playing time. Another thing: have your agent tell people you want out. I love Bill Hall - I do. But he made a poor decision in having his agent go with that to the press...
  5. We already did this with Bill Hall.... and I don't have the energy...
  6. There's a Bill Hall-Chuck Norris-esque comment to be made about the photo above and 3T0's prowess with the ladies, but this is a family site. Use your imaginations. All three of those people probably have children now that look like Branyan.

  9. Does being the all-time leader in 3TO make you a first ballot or 2nd ballot HOF'er?
  10. Man... I thought Rightnowar was a legitimate member of that 95 team... I didn't think he crossed the line... did he?
  11. ?We'll see... I'm going to see them in June down near San Diego - so that might hold me over for awhile... Speaking of NineBullets - I'm bummed that it's still down - I spend just as much time lurking over there as I do over here... and this Brewers stuff is depressing right now. But I agree with you - there may be no better place to watch a show than right in front of Cooley... (watching a Pearl Jam show right in front of Mike McCready is a close 2nd...)
  12. Ned: Next time, listen to me. 4-1 is doable; 6-1 (with this team) is not, Hindsight
  13. Sorry not tonight. He's going seven. 6th inning = kryptonite for Bush... Hopefully your optimism an my skepticism combine for just the right amount of juju
  14. Dear Ned: Remember - pull bush after the fifth. Regards, Hindsight
  15. Hopefully most journalists would exercise the same amount of journalistic integrity in their blogging that they do in their columns, when it comes to "intel"
  16. I may have to find a reason to be back in Milwaukee for this day... geez that's a heck of a lineup.
  17. Previous history aside, it's still bad journalism. If he doesn't write it in his blog, most of the world would still have no idea what Badger Blog is... that would not have been as big of a story yesterday. He gave credibility and weight to a story with no reliable sources of any kind... and so maybe did this Badger Blog. But the difference between TH and Badger Blog is that one is employed by the Journal Sentinel and Journal Communications, the other is not... I'm sure he is a nice guy, but everyone has bad days at work, and yesterday was one for TH...
  18. But I think it is officially the 1st game in the "Save Ned Yost's Job tour" - while I think it's already too late, the fact that he survived the off day means he still has a little more rope left before the front office kicks the chair out from under him.
  19. It was more a reaction to the people posting on the JS site... and a little reactionary http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif However... doesn't change my opinion. Edit: And I said "the yahoos" - not calling out one yahoo in particular. That's rationalizing, but I think it works...
  20. All the yahoos (here and on the JS board) giving Ned criticism for being a hypocrite (he says Braun can say whatever he wants but then complains about what other people say/write!) need to calm down and look at the situation rationally. It's not hypocritical at all - what Ned is railing against is journalist incompetency by using a completely unsubstantiated blog as a news source. Haudricourt should be criticized for giving that blog any credibility - which he did by printing it in his blog as a member of, and sponsored by, the largest newspaper in the state. That is journalistic idiocy and Ned has a right to complain about that. When he says "Braun has a right to say what he wants to say" - he's saying that Braun, as a legitimate member of this team, has a right to say what he wants... They are not related at all, so it doesn't make Ned a hypocrite...
  21. I tried to get into Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao.... I really did... but the author's tangents early on in the book (the footnotes, etc.) really dragged me away from connecting with the central story... I will go back and try again at some point though, I think...
  22. Every once in a while I'll read a book that is just ridiculously good. And reading it, I recognize that this book will have a universal appeal - and so, when it blows up, some people will be less inclined to go read it... The Art of Racing in the Rain by Garth Stein First book of the year that I give my full, unabashed approval and recommendation to. Wonderfully written and a fairly unique premise yet told in a way that you'd be hard pressed not to find something to relate to... Go get it now...
  23. I hear that the best way to get a TV in the Milwaukee area these days is to take one from the Vet hospital or a nursing home...
