    Arnold stayed true to his word. Upgraded responsibly and improved major areas of weakness. Our plan was to rely on our elite pitching and D and hope the rookies develop. Excited for the rest of the season. Think quero and black get called up to AAA. Probably won’t call anyone up until 45 days left in the season so they can qualify for the prospect pick thing.

    keep in mind for the ROY eligibility its 60 days or less. So starting August 2nd if a player has no service days before that they can be eligible next year.

    Black has been improving a lot in his defense. Started the year out terribly but has significantly improved. Say he’s average now with above average upside.

    I think for pitchers I believe it. Team has proven we can develop pitchers really well in our lab.

    Per baseball savants new fielding metric, Weimer is the 2nd best overall on defense for any position and best CF. Our team is built on elite D and he’s shaping up to be a cornerstone of this foundation.

    Feels like our new bush project. Elite profile based on savant, not a bad guy to throw into the lab and see what spits out.

    I’ll be a contrarian here and say I’m buying on the pirates. Hitting looks good but pitching needs some work. Have some exciting prospects that could be called up soon. If they get momentum and some fan support I could see them doing pretty decent this year,
