What a fun game. Can the Brewers always be the "away" team at Miller Park from here on out? -
Should be interesting. Hopefully he doesn't feel too much pressure on himself.

My guess is that the fact that the Marlins are basically out of a playoff contention made this choice viable. If they were close to a Wild Card or 1st place in their division, I would think Miller Park wouldn't have been an option.

The Marlins should bring their outfield fountain thing with them for this series.

I don't mind the small flags on the left field wall myself. They help tell the story of the team's history, which unfortunately isn't filled with tons of championships like the Yankees and Cardinals. Division titles and wild card spots are still notable. I see no shame in commemorating them. That said, I'm personally glad they removed that faded and crappy looking 1982 "flag" that was on the left field roof line for many years. That was looking pretty sad and dated. I also agree in general that the 1982 obsession needs to be done. I was two years old that season. I am not enriched by the memory of that team in the least.

Another division title flag would look nice on that left field wall, if nothing else. We've had a grand total of two in franchise history.

We don't have ability to create additional subforums right now, so I created a merged topic for Packers/NFL that is now "stickied" to the top of the Off-Topic forum. Additionally, I stickied the Wisconsin Football and Bucks/NBA threads. Hopefully this helps people who want to discuss those topics have one easy place to go to on this forum.

As much as I want the Brewers to overtake the Cubs, innings like that make it hard to imagine it actually happening.

As one of the biggest Braun fans/apologists around, he is really worrying me right now. Lately he hasn't looked like the Ryan Braun we've been used to for the past 10 years. There have been some plate appearances where he's let fast balls go by, that normally he'd send out of the park. I don't know if its age or injuries...or maybe just some rust from all the off days this season.

A bit of smoke and mirrors allowed for a better end result to this road trip than expected. Hopefully the offense can wake up at some point. The Brewers pitching has been outstanding. -

The Brewers are giving away a Bernie Brewer "Game of Thrones" bobblehead at an upcoming game. What a strange cross promotion...I do watch the show, but it's not remotely family friendly. I think these MLB/mainstream pop culture cross promotions have kind of jumped the shark.
