This is from Cot's: 2011:$11.5M, 2012:$17.5M option ($3.5M buyout) 2012 option becomes guaranteed with: - 55 games finished in 2011, and - 100 games finished in 2010-11, and - doctors declare Rodriguez healthy after 2011 I really can't see this happening unless the Mets eat about half of his 2012 salary (assuming a buyout doesn't apply).
I found the picture tolerable last night. Still fuzzy on the far away shots, but watchable at least. The biggest thing I noticed was that the picture wasn't all dark like it was on Saturday.
Yeah, I agree. We're not even through one full week of the season. Not exactly time to jump off the bridge yet. I've intentionally been avoiding some places like the JSOnline blogs for this reason.
Just some really ugly ABs in an overall ugly game. Saito gets some blame for giving up two homers, but you don't win many games scoring just one run anway. Roenicke has to be seeing the terrible ABs this team is having, right?
You can basically never have too many pitchers, even if they aren't good. This probably isn't costing KC much, and if one of their guys get hurt, they can call up Suppan if they don't have other options ready. And if he just flat out sucks completely they can just release him. Not much downside.
I will geekily answer the Duck Hunt question: I don't think you would be able to play it because the Nintendo Light Gun is only compatible with CRT based TV sets.
Yeah, I like this one I just found from @tonykaestner: @jdondlinger I just picked up the camcorder that I borrowed to WMLW and they didn't even rewind the VHS tapes.
Yeah, I guess they didn't make good on their promise to go HD this season, huh? Caught part of the game last night on my parents' Philips HD 26" LCD TV. It's not a spectacular set, but gets the job done. Even on that, you could tell the picture was blurry.
I like the ideas in the article you linked to, jeffyscott. The problem is that baseball won't retract any teams right now, though the A's and Rays make logical candidates, as suggested.
I've only been there a handful of times, but I like Kelly's Bleachers. The beer is relatively cheap, and the food is good. I like the atmosphere with all the Brewers decor.
