  1. Thats because davis was hurt. Because of the expanded rosters, we just didn't really hear about it. Everyone's been really tight lipped about who supposedly "gave up" or "had attitude issues" on the team. Haven't really seen any speculation come out about it from anyone who would be in the know. I haven't heard anything about Davis one way or another, but I doubt a guy who's basically a rookie like him would be causing any major problems.
  2. So, how do I get internet or Amazon Prime (if I choose to purchase that) on my TV without buying a new TV or blu-ray player? Regarding your second question, I'm not experienced with them, but you can buy a Chromecast for like 35 bucks, assuming your TV has HDMI inputs. You would also need to have a wifi network in your house.
  3. I have both Amazon Prime and Netflix now. I think Amazon has a slightly better selection of streaming TV shows. They actually have current episodes of series on there. The movie selection doesn't seem to be any better than Netflix though. For movies, I like to collect Blu-rays, but I usually don't buy them when they first come out. I scour the Internet a couple months after they come out and sometimes find good deals. There are message boards out there that will list deal alerts that pop up.
  4. I've mentioned this before. Why is it seemingly so hard for some fans to accept that managers can learn and improve with experience? Most aren't as stubborn and bullheaded as some of us probably think.
  5. I don't have a link, but I read yesterday that the Brewers are going to be interviewing several coaching candidates very quickly. No names mentioned though.
  6. I know there's a lot of people who are fans of various HBO shows, so this should be welcome news for a lot of people. Personally, if I had a way to get Brewers games without cable, I'd probably be able to ditch Charter's TV service finally once this comes out. http://news.yahoo.com/hbo-fulfill-cord-cutters-dreams-launch-standalone-streaming-145913861.html?soc_src=mediacontentstory
  7. Hard to blame him. Probably better pay, much better chance to win, and not be part of a franchise that might have to relocate in the not to distant future.
  8. The problem is two other teams in the division have better cores, the Reds might as well if they go for it next year and Votto is healthy and the Cubs have the best farm system in baseball and the money to spend on whatever they need to when they decide the time is right leaving us where exactly? 4th or 5th place. That's my biggest concern at this point. Things could get really painful for this franchise quickly if they are struggling to reach third place next season.
  9. Haha...yeah, I do think that kind of fits how things seem to be going currently with the Brewers front office.
  10. He seems to be well liked by the players from what I've observed.
  11. I'm kind of surprised but kind of not. I was starting to get the feeling the slow development of the announcement meant he'd be back. I guess I'm just surprised because I was sure Attanasio would want bigger changes.
  12. I'm thinking at this point it will be after the World Series until we get some news.
  13. I agree. If they win the NLCS, I won't even watch the World Series because it will be a forgone conclusion that they win it all.
  14. I'm a bit too young to have seen/remember the original series, but I have friends that are going to be super excited about this news.
  15. My early guess is that they go all out to sign Pablo Sandoval, though I'm not sure how I really feel about that.
  16. It's been oddly quiet lately regarding the status of Roenicke and the coaching staff. I doubt it's a good sign for him that nothing has been said publicly since the Brewers' season ended, though.
  17. I think in about the last 10 or 15 years, drunk driving has become much more stigmatized here in Wisconsin. I do remember the days when people would think nothing of getting behind the wheel after downing a six pack of beer or whatever, and I'm only 34 years old.
  18. I'm so burned out on hearing about "raising awareness" and various causes. I can't pretend to care anymore.
  19. Good question that I honestly don't know the answer to. I assume it would be the responsibility of the home club, but I really am not sure.
  20. I'm not really sure if Molitor is even interested in being a manager, but he's been mentioned as a candidate.
  21. The Twins have been pretty bad of late, so this wasn't too surprising. He had quite the run in Minnesota, though. 13 seasons and six division titles.
  22. Apparently, according to Tom Haudricourt, Roenicke was asked this morning if he felt the team cracked under the pressure of being in first place most of the season, and he said "Yes I do." If that's true, I don't see how the whole managerial and coaching staff isn't fired.
  23. A bit of a surprise that Weeks isn't starting since it's probably his last game in a Brewers uniform.
  24. I'm certainly no expert on minor league talent evaluation, but I would think by the time a pitcher reaches AAA, teams have a pretty good idea of how they are projecting, and can factor in ballpark effects. Does anyone know the length of the deal the Brewers signed with Colorado Springs? I'm assuming it's just one or two years, but I don't recall seeing it mentioned. (Edit: Someone Twitter informed me it is for two years).
