  1. I hate...... um.... well.... the vending machine ate my quarter once! I love my job. Though, my past life as a courier has given me a hatred for drivers. If you don't use your turn signal or bother to replace your brake lights, you are my sworn enemy.
  2. My team last season was Najeh's Closet. Unfortunately, the team itself stunk.
  3. I have no problem with teams charging more to sell tickets, but the problem is with revenue sharing and the fact that by maintaining a face value on the ticket lower than the actual profit the team realizes, the team is "lowering" their bottom line profit and cheating the system.

  5. Der-ek Jet-er! Clap clap clap clap clap. Also, David Ortiz looks like Craig Counsell, minus the scrappiness.
  6. There is a dropdown with every player on the roster to choose from. Fear not Zach Jackson fans, you are covered too!
  7. http://shop.mlb.com/family/index.jsp?categoryId=2455384&cp=1452356.1452802
  8. LINK TO DEADSPIN I'm just glad the Beery Nine won.
  9. Assuming good weather, walk the park near the Minnehaha Falls. Pretty scenic, and a nice way to spend an hour or two.
  10. Perfect solution: follow the NFL's lead. 9 man defensive unit, and a 9 man offensive unit. Expand the rosters to 52!
  11. Wow. I posted this figuring I'd pass along information, not create a cesspool of OBP. Vote for whomever you like. I see the game as an exhibition, and it would be fun to see a Brewer starting again, so I'm voting Braun. Maybe I need to move this to the political thread...
  12. I'll be there, but I'm questionable to play. Stupid back.
  13. Cooperstown seems like a good place for the NY/Penn All-Star game and/or the Futures game. Most teams never took the game seriously anyways, but I'd bet minor league prospects would.
  14. I love the new address bar. It remembers things you've looked at in the past and actively searches both web addresses AND titles of pages previously viewed, making navigation that much easier. Pages also seem to be quicker to load. Beyond that, I didn't notice much different, but I'm not a power user.
  15. LINKAGE If you are not voting 25 times daily for Mr. Braun, you are Un-American. Currently trailing Soriano, Fukudome, and Griffey. We are already behind the Cubs in the standings, let's not lose to them again.
  16. Just know that bleacher seats do not have access to the stadium proper (think County Stadium).
  17. I stayed at the Holiday Inn - Midtown, and I thought that was ok. I'm sure prices are insane now, as that was 4 years ago, but worth checking out. Near subway line, parking available if needed, and close to Central Park
  18. I wear size 15, and I am absolutely forced to shoe shop online. Should something happen and all my shoes be destroyed, I'd be barefoot for a week while waiting for the next shipment to come in. Footlocker.com, Amazon.com, and famousfootwear.com are my best friends for shoes (especially when coupled with some nice internet coupons).
  19. I will slightly back off my previous statement, making an exception for yard work. That seems like an acceptable use. Also allowable: Chew toy for dog Quick in/out shoe (taking out trash, checking mail, getting paper)
  20. I reserve the right to point and laugh at anybody, male or female, child or adult, wearing crocs. They are the worst fashion trend since Zubaz.
  21. I was wrong. There are 3 weeks worth of doubleheaders, but only 2-4 teams per week. Lame.
  22. 6/20 - v. Paulies, 6:15, 7:15 @ Dyer 6/27 - v. Grant's, 7:15, Wick #4 7/11 - v. Steve's on Bluemound, 7:15, Dyer 7/18 - v. SOB's, 6:15, Dyer 7/25 - v. Midwest, 9:15, Dyer 8/1 - v. Salinas 2 Construction, 7:15, Dyer I made our futile gesture in the form of a message left with the rec department. Methinks we consider finding a different league next season, hopefully non-Milwaukee related, where the umpires are actually held accountable for things like chopping 25% of the time off of a game.
  23. I'd imagine that one of the big reasons for the massive detour is simply volume. I cannot believe that you can stick all of 1-94 on a 1-lane state highway (which may or may not be flooded as well) without worse backups than sending everyone to I-43. This keeps through traffic out of the small cities, whilst the locals can still find their way without going to 43.
